I love these stirrups! Very comfortable with the hinged foot. Also let loose easily on my recent unplanned-for dismount!

Sleek looking irons with enough weight to them, good price, like the jointed feature.

Comments about FES Black Steel Jointed Irons:

I've had these stirrups for a few weeks now and love them. I can't yet attest to true durability but they seem like they are well made and should hold up. They are not bulky and look very attractive with black tall boots, blending in which helps detract from the overall hunter picture. Very flexible and great for keeping your heels down (also easy on your joints).

Great stirrups minus the high price tag.

Comments about FES Black Steel Jointed Irons:

I am in my early 50's. I have had back surgeries, knee problems and have broken both ankles. I have used jointed stirrups before, but these stirrups go way beyond the realm of your average jointed stirrup. They definitely make it easier to keep your heels down, without the usual pain, and I have less knee fatigue/pain, when I'm done riding. Also, they are a quality stirrup, which I was worried about when shopping/comparing brands and price tags. I clearly shouldn't haven't been concerned. These stirrups are awesome and I'm glad I opted to purchase them.

Comments about FES Black Steel Jointed Irons:

I was looking for a pair of jointed irons, but did not want to pay $$$ for them.

After trying these irons out I am extremely happy with my purchase and love the look! Definitely a #1 product for riders who want to try out jointed irons, but not for hundreds of dollars.

the one picture shows they are bent. Is that just to show the flex of the iron, or are they really bent without intervention?

The bent picture is just to show that they flex. They don't come bent.

Yes, that's just to show how they flex. ~Ursula

              A:

No these can not be put on a western saddle. The opening for the leather to go through is little over an 1 inch wide.
