Comments about Dura-Tech® Platinum Corner Feeder:

After just over a month, my mare that has destroyed every other feed trough has yet to destroy this one. She is trying, but the brackets and buckets are holding strong. She has begun to chew on the bucket lip but has yet to chew though it.
It looks like she is taking a rasp to it but she is not making much progress.

Comments about Dura-Tech® Platinum Corner Feeder:

I have changed all my stalls to these corner feeders. They fit much more snugly in the corner of the stall than the round feed tubs. Thus less banging around when the horse eats and less feed spilling out.

Can someone post a picture of their feeder installed? I want to minimize the ability to bang them around and I'm not sure how to do that with eye bolts and double ended snaps. It seems like they would move around a lot.

Hi Collette, I think eye screws/bolts & snaps are how many people would do it.  However, I wanted to minimize the noise cuz I put mine in the barn where our bunk room is.  I mounted 2"x 6" boards to rest the rim of the feeder on & used eye screws & Quick Links.  The Quick Links come in a variety of sizes & shapes so it was easier to get the right length but also be able to remove the feeder when needed.  Paint the boards with USED non-synthetic motor oil to discourage them from chewing on the wood.  I love these feeders!  They're very sturdy & safe.  Here's a pic of mine all mounted.  Happy trails,  Barb *v* :)

How are these usually mounted in the stall? Eye hook and snaps? Or do they need to be permanently mounted?

I used eye screws with double ended snaps so that I can take them down to
clean and then hang them back up easily. I have found the this feeder
really works better than the other type of corner feeder I had used in the
                        past.

We ordered snaps and eye hooks when we ordered the buckets. One side that we hung them, is wood and the other side has bars so we only had to use the eye hooks on one side. They are not permanently there. If we needed to switch them out, we could. We really love these buckets. It makes it easier for them to eat their grain out of.

What is the width of this? Could this be used for our show heifer or is it too narrow? I'm thinking the depth is ok. Also could this be hooked to an eye bolt on metal pipe stall?
