Ultra® Bit Cleaner and Freshener

$13.99
This multi jointed French Link Snaffle offers more mobility within the mouthpiece, which means horses that tend to lean on a normal snaffle may get lighter off the French Link. Horses with low pallets that resist pressure from ported bits may do well in this bit as well because the link lays flat on the tongue.

Comments about FES French Link Eggbut Snaffle:

I looked EVERYWHERE for a French Link eggbutt with curved mouth bars—this was the only place I found it. Price was a little higher than I would have preferred, but I wanted this exact bit.

Comments about FES French Link Eggbut Snaffle:

I bought a trained Dressage Arabian gelding and only had regular snaffle bits. He was not happy. At his trainer's suggestion I bought this French Link Snaffle. The difference is amazing. He no longer is mouthing the bit, tossing his head or protesting in any way. The quality of this bit is great and he likes it. Now he is performing as a Dressage horse should

My horse loves this bit! It fits her perfectly. She used to resist bit pressure and toss her head, but she goes easy in this and never fights it.

            What bits are made of...

If you have any questions about this product or a type of bit, please contact us at 1-800-365-1311 or service@sstack.com
            Stainless Steel

Bits are most commonly made of stainless steel. Stainless steel can be cleaned and polished repeatedly without damaging the finish. It is strong, durable, and flavorless and does not impact salivation. Some stainless steel mouths are inlaid with copper.

            Copper

Copper encourages salivation to increase the sensitivity of the horse’s mouth. It warms up quicker than stainless steel in cold weather.

            Sweet Iron

Sweet iron is cold-rolled steel. The material appears rusty after repeated use. This oxidation tastes sweet to the horse and increases salivation.

            Rubber

Rubber softens the action of the bit as it is softer than traditional metals. Rubber-covered bits are generally thicker than metal.

            Aluminum

Aluminum is lightweight and easy to maintain.

            Plastic

Plastic bits are softer than traditional metal bits and they are durable. Many plastic bits are scented or flavored.

            Nickel Silver

Nickel silver is a nickel alloy, also known as German silver. It encourages salivation for a more sensitive and supple mouth.
