Comments about FES Full Cheek Low Port Correction:

I had tried several bits on my ex-racing TB, but he plowed right through them, or fussed with them.

With this bit, he goes quietly, calmly, and happily.

Don't forget the bit keepers though, since this is a fullcheek!

Comments about FES Full Cheek Low Port Correction:

I recently purchased this bit for my Arabian mare and she responds so well to this bit! In a smooth French link snaffle she evades, gets so heavy on her forehand and forgets how to use her brakes. With this, she is so responsive and no longer heavy on my hands. This is her magic bit! I am so glad I found it and it's affordable. Love it!

        Service and delivery comments:

Prompt delivery, and arrived in excellent condition! Did not need to utilize customer service.

        • Q:

Is this bit a legal Bit for Arabian horse shows for hunter pleasure? I have ready the rules and it states a snaffle, pelham, full bridle or kimberwicke bit acceptable. Still confused so wanted to get help from some bit savvy people :)! I knew full cheeks are allowed just concerned with port. This is the bit the pervious owners of my horse rode her in and she was happiest in this bit. Thank you!

        What bits are made of...

        Stainless Steel

Bits are most commonly made of stainless steel. Stainless steel can be cleaned and polished repeatedly without damaging the finish. It is strong, durable, and flavorless and does not impact salivation. Some stainless steel mouths are inlaid with copper.

Copper encourages salivation to increase the sensitivity of the horse’s mouth. It warms up quicker than stainless steel in cold weather.

        Sweet Iron

Sweet iron is cold-rolled steel. The material appears rusty after repeated use. This oxidation tastes sweet to the horse and increases salivation.

Rubber softens the action of the bit as it is softer than traditional metals. Rubber-covered bits are generally thicker than metal.

Aluminum is lightweight and easy to maintain.

Plastic bits are softer than traditional metal bits and they are durable. Many plastic bits are scented or flavored.

        Nickel Silver

Nickel silver is a nickel alloy, also known as German silver. It encourages salivation for a more sensitive and supple mouth.
