Comments about Dura-Tech® Anti-Slip Support Gel Pad:

I needed a pad to absorb some shock and help keep my (less than perfect fitting) saddle in place. I placed it directly on my horse, under the normal saddle pad and it did its job and seemed to make my horse more comfortable with the situation.

Comments about Dura-Tech® Anti-Slip Support Gel Pad:

This really helps my saddle stay in place. My horse has higher withers, so my saddle always slipped back. He does sweat a lot in it and I don't feel it really provides any extra cushion for the horse so I would still recommend getting a good breathable saddle pad.

Comments about Dura-Tech® Anti-Slip Support Gel Pad:

At first I bought this gel pad w/ the sheep skin and first time riding in it I notice my ride being a lot smoother. I found the sheep skin does not do well in moist environments and may mold a little, so I decided to use that during winter and get just the plain gel pad for summer. I think the sheep skin one may work a bit better, but either way I love them both. For the plain gel pad I made a cover for it by tracing it twice on some pretty cloth, sewing the two pieces together and leaving a whole in the middle so I can change covers. I tried this gel pad on my friends horse where the saddle always slipped, and when I rode the saddle didn't slide, not guaranteeing it was all the gel pad, but I think it helped . I've seen gel pads like this one go into triple digits, yet this one is under 50 dollars. Its got holes to encourage ventilation too. I think this is a great buy.
