Comments about Old Timers Hoof Dressing:

Oldtimers is a daily product we use everytime we take a horse out of the barn. The hooves are moist enough so that there is no cracking or chipping. Great stuff to use.

Comments about Old Timers Hoof Dressing:

Contains pine tar, flax seed oil (linseed oil), processed animal fat. Can be strong smelling and a bit messy when first applied. To improve absorbsion and prevent dripping or smudging, dust with fine sand after application. Some horses object to the smell (sort of like fresh asphalt). Works well. I notice improvement in my horse's hooves with just two or three applications.

Comments about Old Timers Hoof Dressing:

Disclaimer: I consider myself a skeptic when it comes to hoof dressings. Outside of making hooves look pretty, I don't know that they do all that much. However, I have to say, both my farrier and I have noticed improvement in my horse's hoof quality with consistent use of this! I have an OTTB, who is prone to quarter cracks on his front. It has been a real struggle to find something that would help add moisture so his feet wouldn't get brittle, but that also wouldn't make them too soft, either. I chose this product specifically because it doesn't have any petroleum products in it.

Comments about Old Timers Hoof Dressing:

After I found this oil it's the only one I will ever use or suggest. I tell everyone I know who has a horse with dry, brittle or cracked hooves they should use Old Timers. I've tried other good dressings and oils with little success but this stuff works like no other...don't know what's in it but what ever it is it's the best...even my farriers started using it and recommending it.
