Comments about StormShield® 1680D Big Fella Turnout Sheet:

In the past I have had to get Romke's blankets shipped from Europe since I could not find any to fit him locally. A friend alerted me that Schneider sold blankets that fit Draft horses. This is Romke's second Schneider blanket. He got a winter coat last year and now his rain coat. he is a happy boy.

Comments about StormShield® 1680D Big Fella Turnout Sheet:

I ordered the rain sheet in a size 94 for my 17.3hh 2200lb percheron. Great fit, great length (on the sides) and is cut right in the neck to give him proper fit. Have only used the sheet a few times but am very happy with it. Would like to have a choice between regular and adjustable neck. I find with neck adjusted water will run down the inside on his shoulder. If you were to adjust neckline about 1/2 of the velcro, & make that a regular neck size would be nice to have the choice. Sorry for sounding fussy..lol. A great sheet and worth the price (even with the canadian/ U.S. exchange rate)

          Comments about StormShield® 1680D Big Fella Turnout - X-Midweight:

It is awesome to have a quality blanket that fits our draft cross so well. Other turnouts look like a "mini-skirt" on him and were constantly shifting around. The Big Fella line fits as advertised and doesn't shift!

          Comments about StormShield® 1680D Big Fella Turnout - X-Midweight:

I have a Friesian Gypsy and he is one of those horses that is not the biggest and surely bigger than a Warm Blood Quarter horse. I have had Asa since yearling. He has gone through a blanket each year. Just because he is growing that much. This blanket fit great. I love that it is not just made bigger everywhere to accommodate X-amount of inches. But that there is room in the shoulders and across his chest. It is hard when you always have those cross breeds that are too big for this but not big enough for that.... He is quite big around as well as 17 hands high and only 3 years old. The only thing I wish was that it had the belly band that hooks up on his side. But the fit.....PERFECT. The bag for storing could be bigger. Folding it to fit will be like folding a fitted sheet to look like it does when you first purchase it. ha. But honestly, most don't even give you a bag. Thanks for the thought! I only use my blanket for sub zero weather since he is a woolly mammoth. And if I think that I will be gone all day and it will be a wet snow or freezing rain. Don't ever want horse-icicles. Will send picture of Asa in his blanket next Wisconsin Snow and Cold

How to Measure for a Horse Blanket:

How to Measure for a Horse Blanket
          • For best fit, stand horse squarely.
          • Measure from center of chest to edge of tail.
          • Take care to measure along the widest part of the shoulder and hindquarters.
          • The blanket measurement result is the blanket size.
          • If your measurement is in between sizes, round up to the next blanket size. Example: 73" = Size 74.
