Description:
Safe and comfortable, Best Friend Grazing Muzzles are recommended by equine health professionals to prevent, as well as treat, laminitis, founder, and obesity. The small opening in the bottom allows horses a limited amount of grass, yet unlimited water. Rather than being restricted to a non-grass environment to control intake, horses are free to exercise and socialize as part of the herd. The lightweight muzzles resist rubbing and chafing and will not rot. Best Friend Grazing Muzzles can also be used as a training tool to discourage bad habits such as nipping and cribbing . The muzzle is packaged in a free grooming bag.


Fitting Instructions:
Adjust the muzzle to the horse using the same principles as the fit of a comfortable halter. Leave approximately one-inch between the horse's mouth and the bottom of the muzzle. The "basket" of the muzzle should fit loosely for comfort and to allow the horse room to chew. You should be able to fit approximately two to three fingers sideways between the horse's face and the inside of the muzzle.


Breakaway Feature:
The plastic buckle on the headstall will hold in place under normal circumstances, yet will break away should your horse become entangled and struggle to get free. To replace, simply remove the old buckle and loop on the new buckle.
