Comments about Equisect Fly Repellent 128 oz.:

I really like this product because it works well, smells good and doesn't bother my horse in any way and does not give me a headache like many other fly sprays. Because it is mainly a natural product, I feel confident in spraying it on my cap and clothes when the flies are biting me as well as my horse. The only real con is that it doesn't last as long as oil based fly sprays. But a good thing is that it washes easily out of my clothes because it is water based. This is the only fly spray I use and I recommend it highly.

If your horses are sensitive and you have multiple horses out together that "scratch" each other's backs, this product will not bother them if they consume some.

This is a great product for horses that cannot tolerate chemical fly products. I find that it works as well as most chemical based products.

Comments about Equisect Fly Repellent 128 oz.:

This is a mostly natural, water-based, alcohol-free fly spray. I chose it originally because I have a number of chemical sensitivities and most oil-based fly sprays give me migraine headaches. I have not found cause to quit using it.
Because it is water-based, I have no qualms about spraying it on my clothes, especially my ball cap and the lower legs of my breeches. Believe me, when the flies are really bad, they bite everything, including me if I do not spray my clothes.
Occasionally I mess up and spray my horse where I will shortly be placing her saddle. Some fly sprays can cause skin irritation if you do this. The Equisect has never bothered her under her saddle.
Also, when the flies are really bad, I will spray her bedding near the walls of her stall and also the walls themselves. This works great to help keep the flies down in her stall.
It doens't last as long as oil-based fly sprays, but if you apply it to a clean, dry coat and brush it in lightly after application, it will last longer.
I've had a lot of different fly sprays recommended to me by a lot of different people and I just keep using Equisect. I really do love this stuff.

Comments about Equisect Fly Repellent 128 oz.:

I like this fly repellent because it does a fair job of keeping the flies off of my horse and does not cause me any grief. I am severly chemically sensitive and most fly sprays give me a serious and immediate headache when I use them on my horse. This is the first one that I tolerate fairly well. And she's grateful that I am willing to use it on her. :)It's only drawback is that it is water soluble and so it doesn'l last long. But then water solublity is also a bonus because it makes it easy to clean up and when I hose her down, it rinses off easily and I'm not just building up more and more oily residue on her coat.
