        Comments about Safe-Guard(R) Power-Dose:

Most important / helpful item I want to communicate... one syringe is for 2,500 pounds of horse. So, I was able to use one syringe for two horses. I mistakenly bought twice as much as I needed! For three average size Quarter Horses, I only needed one and a half boxes.

I use this in a rotation schedule that incorporates different brands/active ingredients, to avoid immunity to one active ingredient. A free rotation chart is available from SafeGuard's web site.

One of our three horses didn't mind the taste, nor the delivery (paste in a syringe) AT ALL. The other two didn't like it AT ALL. I got better at giving it (tied the lead rope closer and lower to the post, distracted them by putting my fingers in the mouths on the opposite side than where I was putting the paste). Five days in a row is difficult.

            Comments about Safe-Guard(R) Power-Dose:

I've used Safeguard in my rotational worming program for 7 years, since I got back into horses. My veterinarian recommended a strongyle wormer as part of the rotation and this was especially safe on the young foals and very effective.

I've used this on a Belgian mare that was nursing, she had immediate better results....On our Western pleasure horse, he FINALLY shed his winter coat after using this. Don't buy the $2 "discount stuff"...you get what you pay for, this stuff WORKS!
