The Portable Cooling Machine system was specifically designed every type of equine in mind. Show Performance system is battery-powered, eliminating the need for power cords running from the horse to an outlet to power the machine. The system was designed by a horse trainer to allow it to sit on the horse just as a saddle would. This is accomplished by the 2 portable cooling machines, one for each side of the horse.
The machines are connected to allow them to sit across the back of the horse. Meanwhile, girth straps then connect the machines underneath the horse to secure it in place. Having a cooling system on each side of the horse is one of the leading advantages of our system. This allows for you choose how you wish to set up the compression, inflation and pressure for each individual leg to best suit the needs of your horse.

1. Remove batteries and chargers from bag. Charge batteries initially for 12 hours for complete charge.
2. Remove ice reservoirs (1 to each machine) and fill to the top line with ice and then top of the reservoir with water. Another option is to partially fill the reservoirs and freeze the water in them before adding water and ice to ensure colder water for a longer period of time.
3. Replace the reservoirs into the portable cooling system machines.
4. Connect the two tubes to the tops of the ice reservoirs.
5. Connect battery to the top of the pump.
6. Place the unit over the back of the horse.
7. Remove girth straps from side of storage bag.
8. Connect the girth straps to the bottom of each machine and secure around the middle of the horse.
9. Connect the carrying shoulder strap as a breast collar for the horse.
10. Connect the hoses to each side of the machine.
11. Place the leg pads securely around the horse’s legs with the valves facing toward the back of the leg or towards the machine.
12. Connect the leg pad valves to the hoses.
13. One the side of the each machine, locate control panel.
14. Push the “On” button for 2 seconds on each machine panel.
15. For initial start-up, hold manual button on bottom left of control panel. Hold manual button until boot completely fills with water.
16. On the larger leg pads you may have to fill the ice reservoirs with additional water once boots are full. This is for the initial start-up.
17. The suggested water flow for equine use is “Every 30 secs. Runs 20 secs.” button located on the left side of the panel. Press button until light appears next to that cycle. Do this on each machine panel.
18. Compression options are listed on the right side of the panel. Machine can be used with or without compression. To set for constant compression press the “Inf.” button. Select the “Inf. & Def.” button for 2 minutes of compression and 1 minute of decompression.
19. Below the compression buttons, select the desired pressure. 50 mm hg is recommended for horses that are accustomed to the wraps. 15 mm hg is recommended for horses new to the system.
20. Machine is now fully functioning and icing your horse’s legs. To adjust the boot, first turn off the machine and restart after adjustment.
21. To turn the machine off press the “Off” button on each machine panel for 2 seconds until all lights fade.
22. Remove machine from the horse beginning with the leg pads, then remove breast collar, hoses, girth straps and finally the machines.
