Magic Cushion is formulated for use after hard work or the day before and all the days of athletic events. It is a natural product and will not test positive in any equine athletic discipline. Magic Cushion can be used under a protective pad or simply applied with a wrap. See Application Tips for more information. Scientifically Proven Effective Magic Cushion is scientifically proven effective for the reduction of concussion, pain, and trauma within the tissues of the foot.

Directions:
This scientifically proven hoof packing can be used daily after workouts or under a protective pad to reduce pain and inflammation within the anatomical structure of the hook. This reduction in pain inflammation will then promote hoof growth.

1.Thoroughly clean all areas of the sole using a hoof pick and a wire brush if necessary. Packing must come in direct contact with sole to be effective.

2. Use an amount of hoof packing that is sufficient to cover the sole and sulci of the frog 1/2 inch in depth.

3. Apply hoof packing evenly over the entire sole. A U.S. Quarter is 1 inch in diameter.

4. After application, wrap with a material that will keep the hoof packing in place.(This product is made for use on the sole of the horse's foot. It is extremely sticky and one should wear gloves to apply. Do not allow this product to come in contact with the eye or any other sensitive areas on the body.

Comments about Magic Cushion Hoof Packing:

In the summer when my horses are home in the mountains I use Magic Cussion after rides and trimming. During the winter when they are being boarded about an hour away from home I use it every time I go to the barn. We live in WA where the ground is wet or has wet, muddy spots for at least 10 months of the year if not more. Horses here are usually fighting some thrush even if it is just a little bit. In winter it is worse with raggedy frogs and pitted heels. Both my geldings are barefoot year round. I use disposable medical type gloves from the hardware store to apply the Magic Cussion since it is sticky stuff. First I pick out and brush, then wire brush all the feet making sure to get the commissures and sulcus as clean as I can. Then I grab a glop of the Magic Cussion and press it into the hoof making sure to fill up the deep parts and pressing it behind any raggedy frog parts and deep into the sulcus on my one gelding who is fighting deep thrush and has a sheared heel. Magic cussion has helped heal up one sheared heel on him but he still has one we are working on. I spread it out over the sole and the skin of the heel and put the foot down on some sand, hay, straw or sawdust depending on where I am so it kind of seals the stickyness. Most times I have one bare hand and one gloved hand. Since I have already cleaned all the feet I usually only have to brush them a little when I go to the next foot and don't take off the glove. I have put a glove on the hoof pick so I don't get it sticky but I usually don't. I peel off the glove inside out when I am done. Sometimes I can reuse the glove but most times I don't bother. If I get the stuff on me I don't care because it smells so good. I just rub some dirt on it so I don't get everything sticky and when I go in I rub it good with butter or oil and liquid soap then wash and it always comes off leaving that great smell. Hint: you can rub some Vaseline around on the threads of the container to keep the lid from getting stuck on there. I have noticed an improvement in my horses hoof health since I started using Magic Cussion this way and my boys seem to look forward to it especially my tenderfoot who wears hoof boots to ride. They are not stalled. When I go to pick out the feet usually most of the goo has worn off but the commissures still have some down in there that keeps the dirt out and keeps the thrush from getting started there. Since I am so far away and only see them two or three times a week in the winter it helps keep their feet from getting mud packed in the deep spots where the thrush loves to grow. I love Magic Cussion.

Great product that works. Little messy and dont want to use with soft rides, prefer easy boot instead.
