Comments about Joseph Sterling® Rubber Lined Reins:

I love the thinness and lightness of these reins, and the rubber grip on the inside to prevent slipping is wonderful. I am petite with small hands and had always ridden with a wider leather with braid stops. After riding with these reins I will never go back. I didn't realize what a difference reins can make. I have a much better feel and communication with my horses' mouth. I am happy and my mare is happy.

Comments about Joseph Sterling® Rubber Lined Reins:

It's hard to find a rubber lined 1/2" rein and these are very nice. Good price, good leather, pliable and great for small hands. Who would have guessed a store which started out Western would carry such a "particular" English rein.

Comments about Joseph Sterling® Rubber Lined Reins:

These reins definitely have good grip, but they can also make the skin on the fingers sore (especially if it's hot and your hands are getting sweaty) - You need to wear gloves.

I use these reins for all types of english riding and they are really great. Not too thick or bulky, the right width and no slipping - great grip. I love the easy attachment to the bit as well.

              A:

These measure 54". We do carry extra long reins but they are not rubber lined. Joseph Sterling Extra Long Plaited Reins is item #30573 or the Joseph Sterling Extra Long Laced Rein item #30575.
