Mouth-watering tasty Likit and Little Likit treats are designed to be used in conjunction with our range of Likit Toys to relieve the boredom and stress of stabled life! Mounts to Likit Holder. Choice of Apple, Mint, Carrot, Cherry, Honey/Chamomile, Molasses, Garlic, Salt or Banana. Your horse will love this new line of fun toys and nutritionally beneficial tasty treats. Leading vets and equine behaviorists recommend Likits to overcome boredom and achieve a more relaxed and contended horse. The Sport Likit is an apple flavored salt based Electrolyte treat for the active horse, designed to replace important electrolytes that they loose when they sweat. Electrolytes help to maintain the correct balance of fluids in the body and are essential for correct nerve and muscle function. The Salt Likit is a non-flavored salt based treat designed to replace salt that horses lose when they sweat. Salt is lost everyday during warm weather and strenuous exercise.

Some Frequently Asked Questions About Likits:

What is the maximum recommended daily intake of Likits?
Intake levels will depend on a number of different factors, such as the nature of your horse's diet, their size, breed and age.  However, as a guide we recommend that horses and ponies should not consume more than one Little Likit or half a Likit per day (300g).

What is the best way to remove Likits from their packaging?
The best way to open the packaging is to cut down the tear tabs on either side with a pair of scissors, open the shell, turn upside down and tap on a firm surface.  The Likit will then fall free of its packaging.

I'm having trouble removing empty Little Likit pots from my Boredom Breaker or Tongue Twister, any tips?
This is easily solved, just use a pair of our new hot pink Likit Pliers.  Grip the side of the empty pot with the pliers and pull, you may need to repeat on either side of the pot if it is firmly stuck in the hole.  If you can't get hold of Likit pliers, any normal set of household pliers will do the trick!

What is the most popular flavor of Likit?
Apple seems to be the current favorite, however we are always keen to hear your views, just use the 'Contact Us' button at the bottom of your screen.  Let us know your horse's favorite flavor or ideas as to new flavors we should produce.

My horse has never tried Likits before where do I start?
We would advise that you start with the Likit Holder, which is the most cost effective way of introducing your horse to our products. Alternatively you can try feeding a Little Likit by hand or our new Likit Treat Bar.

Are Likits heating?
As the main component of a Likit is Glucose, Likits will provide energy.  However, provided the recommended daily intake is adhered to there should be little or no effect on your horse's energy levels.

How much sugar is in a Likit?
Horses normally graze for about 16 hours per day.  A 500kg horse would consume at least 50kg of fresh grass, which is equivalent to about 2kg of sugar per day or 125 grams per hour of grazing.  We recommend that horses consume a maximum of 300 grams of Likit per day, which is equivalent to approximately 2 hours grazing.
