Comments about Dura-Tech® All Purpose Splint Boots:

I use splint boots on all my training horses at home. One of the features I really like about these was how large the metal rings are for slipping the velco through. It makes it very quick and easy to put them on and take them off, which is nice when you have to work a lot of horses in a day.

The small size fits my morgans, arabs, and even some of the smaller quarter horses. I plan on getting some other sized to fit my larger horses. Great product! Great Value!

Yes, you could use them. I would check with your equipment rule book just make sure they are approved to use.

I guess it would depend on the rules. I don’t show in the listed disciplines, I just use them for riding to protect my horses legs when doing trail obstacles. I love them though.

I use these more for riding around the house. You could use them for barrel Racine they just don't have as much support as others do.

I am wanting to buy this product for two horses. Horse #1 measures 8 1/4" around the middle of the cannon bone and 10 1/4" around the fetlock. Horse #2 measures 8 3/4" around the middle of the cannon bone and 11 1/4" around the fetlock. What sizes do you recommend?

There is a size chart in the tabs next to the review and Q & A. I would suggest measuring for the correct size.

                  A:

These can be used for jumping as they do offer protection to the splint bone area. However, there is not much support so if that is desired we would recommend Dura-Tech® Extra Support Neoprene Boots or item #14206.

I would recommend a medium based off the size chart. if you feel that would not work you can go with a size small.
