Comments about Joseph Sterling® Extra Long Plaited Reins:

I bought the chestnut version and they were darker than I thought they would be and was worried they wouldn't match my bridle. They are darker than my chestnut bridle but overall they look okay with it. Love the quality.

Comments about Joseph Sterling® Extra Long Plaited Reins:

These are really nice reins!!! They look flashy in the arena and are comfortable to ride in and give the horse plenty of room! However, the Havana color is very very dark and was not the color I was expecting, not a big deal though.

Two colors are listed for these reins and I'm not sure what those colors mean. Which one is lighter / darker? Thank you!

                A:

The chestnut is a brown color that borders between light and medium color depth and has strong orangey-red undertones. Very similar to the color of a chestnut horse in the sun. The havana is a deep brown that does not have any red, orange or purple undertones. Resembles the color of a dark chocolate bar.
