Schneiders® French Link Eggbut Snaffle

Overview

Schneiders® French Link Eggbut Snaffle
This multi jointed French Link Snaffle offers more mobility within the mouthpiece, which means horses that tend to lean on a normal snaffle may get lighter off the French Link. Horses with low pallets that resist pressure from ported bits may do well in this bit as well because the link lays flat on the tongue.
  • Nice bit for younger horses or horses with sensitive palates
  • Nicely finished stainless steel mouthpiece and 3”eggbutt cheeks
  • French link lays flat against the tongue and will limit the nutcracker effect
  • Independent side movement allows riders to isolate one side of the bit
  • Applies pressure direct pressure to the bars with some tongue pressure
  • Mouthpiece: 5”
  • Bit diameter: 11mm
  • Cheeks: 3"

French Link Snaffle

"Just the right bit to use on my Quarter Horse mare. It is just enough weight and offers a better alternative than a regular eggbutt snaffle"

Joanne S. (5/5)

Egg but snaffle

"It's working really well on our green broke Arabian Thank you"

Charlene P. (5/5)

Great Bit!

"This is a really great bit! The bit lays flat on the tongue and does not have that snapping and nutcracker action the regular snaffles can have. It can be good for horses with low palettes. It is smooth and has a great quality, no pinching!"

Amanda (5/5)

Rivals my trainer's bit

"My 20 y o Quarter Horse has almost always worn a snaffle and much prefers it. I have been borrowing my trainer's bit and now I have found my own just like it."

Cyn (5/5)

Jury still out

"I bought this for my green Egyptian mare for low level dressage work. She's not happy enough with her mouth. The bit was represented properly but it just may not be the right one yet for her. I wish Schneiders offered a thinner/lighter version, but I'm going to give it more time."

Opal (3/5)

Exactly what I was looking for, but shipping took forever.

"I looked EVERYWHERE for a French Link eggbutt with curved mouth bars-this was the only place I found it. Price was a little higher than I would have preferred, but I wanted this exact bit."

Merlin (3/5)

First French Link Snaffle

"I bought a trained Dressage Arabian gelding and only had regular snaffle bits. He was not happy. At his trainer's suggestion I bought this French Link Snaffle. The difference is amazing. He no longer is mouthing the bit, tossing his head or protesting in any way. The quality of this bit is great and he likes it. Now he is performing as a Dressage horse should"
