Natural Black Not Jet Black
"Purchased the black tail thinking it would be jet black as the color selection was labeled ""black"". I would say that this tail is more of a natural black, is not solid black. It contains a few red hairs throughout. The bottom of the tail is reddish in color and therefore couldn't blend with my horses all-black tail. I contacted Schneiders and they had me email some pictures of what I received. They didn't see an issue with the color they sent me. I ended up returning the tail as I couldn't get the colors to match and didn't feel comfortable dyeing the tail. They had no replacement suggestions as I was hoping for a jet black tail in this price point. Super disappointed. I asked that they update their description as it is deceiving to think you are buying an all black tail. If you zoom in close to the stock photo they have above you will see the reddish/brown coloring at the bottom of the tail."
Worked Perfect
"I ordered the Sorrel Color and it matched my horses tail perfectly. Was easy to attach but had a little trouble pulling the braid through the hole, I bent the braid and shoved it through, then I tied the braid in a knot and added electrical tape to make sure it stayed in place. Looked stunning on my horse and people didn't even recognize him and asked which horse I had lol Earlier that year my colt ate half of my show horses tails so it was a big help to have this able to attach quickly for a show."

"It looks good! Nice quality. A little different than I thought. I needed a tool to pull the braid through the center and then tape it. I'm sure I will get use to it. My husband likes it better than the other type in that it stays in place better."
