Horse Safe Braided Horse Fence

Horse Safe Braided Horse Fence

Item # 24158

Durable construction and long-lasting conductivity make HorseSafe Braid a superior option for electric fencing. Braided polyester jacket and polyproplylene core withstand weather and time. 6 strands of non-corrosive tinned copper wire provide a strong braid and more surface shocking area. Black checkered design is highly visible.

Comments about Horse Safe Braided Horse Fence:

This is a heavy stuff! It has longer warranty than most rope fencing. I expect it to hold up well. I like the rope electric fence over the tape as it doesn't flutter in the wind and wear through at the insulators like the tape does.

Comments about Horse Safe Braided Horse Fence:

This is a great braided electric fence, especially for the value, and probably even better than it's more expensive competitor. I feel my horses are now safer by reinforcing my existing wire fence to teach them to stay off, and also have used it alone for my foals to teach them respect the fence and stay off, without the fear of them getting hurt , tangled or worse. The powerful shock it delivers usually gets the message across ONCE. Powerful enough that I have also used it alone for stallions. I also LOVE how easy it is to use, as I am usually challenged in this area, compared to wire, and complete my projects with it alone. It is also highly visible, which is also a big plus so the horses can see it, and very well made that you can reuse over and over if you like to make more temporary areas, not have to replace or really maintain, or take with you when you go. It looks nice too if done right, and doesn't fray and crack like the poly rope. It's all about the braid and the copper. And it is hard to beat Schneider's free shipping as well as the 25 year warranty!

How is this recommended to be configured? Length between posts, number of strands, t/post option? Other supplies needed to install?

            A:

I usually put 10-12 feet between T posts but you could probably go 15 feet between wood posts. Install two to three strands depending on how small your smallest horse is. You would also need insulators for the posts, corner insulators and splicers for combining the strands.
