Comments about Robart Pinchless Robart™ Black Training Snaffle:

This is one of my favorite bits to put young horses in as a step up from a snaffle. I have yet to meet a horse that does not work well in this bit, from older, well broke horses that understand leverage to young horses being put in a shank bit for the first time. It is a wonderful transition bit, it's gentle, and has a shank that is very in-style for breed showing.

My horse loves this bit! It usually takes her a mintue or two to drop after I take the headstall off her. Very comfortable for her and keeps her comfortable which is very important to me!

      Fantastic Bit

Comments about Robart Pinchless Robart™ Black Training Snaffle:

I use this bit on my 8 year old Quarter Horse/ Thoroughbred, He is green broke and I am using the Robart Black Training Snaffle. I LOVE this bit! It doesn't pinch at all, gives them a chance to want to learn other than just focus on pain that other bits have. It's light, I use it for Barrels, Cattle Cutting, Cattle Sorting, Team Penning, Trail Rides.. Even jumping!! It is great for everything. I definitely reccomend this bit.

Comments about Robart Pinchless Robart™ Black Training Snaffle:

I like the Robart bits. Very responsive and works well on my horses. Doesn't pinch and that is important for the learning process. I like the stainless w/ in-laid copper, but I'm not a "black steel" fan.

      What bits are made of...

      Stainless Steel

Bits are most commonly made of stainless steel. Stainless steel can be cleaned and polished repeatedly without damaging the finish. It is strong, durable, and flavorless and does not impact salivation. Some stainless steel mouths are inlaid with copper.

Copper encourages salivation to increase the sensitivity of the horse’s mouth. It warms up quicker than stainless steel in cold weather.

      Sweet Iron

Sweet iron is cold-rolled steel. The material appears rusty after repeated use. This oxidation tastes sweet to the horse and increases salivation.

Rubber softens the action of the bit as it is softer than traditional metals. Rubber-covered bits are generally thicker than metal.

Aluminum is lightweight and easy to maintain.

Plastic bits are softer than traditional metal bits and they are durable. Many plastic bits are scented or flavored.

      Nickel Silver

Nickel silver is a nickel alloy, also known as German silver. It encourages salivation for a more sensitive and supple mouth.
