Comments about Beyond Tack Ground Tie System:

My horse is very comfortable with walking around in a lead rope that is attached to his breakable halter. He has never actually broken his breakable halter while walking around with it attached to his halter until I hooked him to the ground tie system. This was very surprising to me. When I introduced him to the system, I guided him while on the outside of the circumference (leading him with a lead rope in both directions) and he seemed to understand its range. I then guided him further inside the circle so that he could encounter the stiff line. He figured out that calmly backing up would keep him from entanglement. We practiced this for less than 5 minutes on day one. We repeated it on day 2. Day 3 was repeated as such with a relaxed horse. I decided to unhook his lead rope and walk away, Within 5 minutes, I watched him encounter the stiff line encroach upon him as he was grazing. The stiff line started riding up his leg higher and higher as he attempted to problem solve. He felt trapped and broke the line and ran off like a level 3 dressage horse for a small distance while performing passage. He has never been asked to perform passage under saddle. He approached me with shear delight after he broke the line. Not a lesson I want to repeat. Winning by breaking away is never acceptable. These introductions were done at home where he normally grazes near his heard. 2 days later, he was free grazing in a small grassy space with his lead rope attached to his breakable halter. He accidentally stepped on the lead rope with a hind led creating tension on the line and he over-reacted to it and broke his halter. He has never done this before. His usual reaction is to lift the foot from the rope. I will never reinforce this lesson by using this device,

Comments about Beyond Tack Ground Tie System:

The horses adjusted quite well. My paint mare did succeed in pulling it out though. Works great if you check on them occasionally. I think she got spooked by something otherwise she probably wouldn't have escaped.

My horse wasn't sure about this at first because of the weight but quickly adjusted. Guess all that good clover took her mind off of it. :) Its a great way to get different areas grazed down.

This is great for areas where putting up a fence isn't available. Since the line is heavy my horse wondered about it but the grass was so tempting she soon forgot that.

It is great when we get to a rodeo and don't have enough portable panels we can use this or if we stay overnight on a trail ride. We are pleased I met the designer at the Arabian show, I show bloomer trailers With this if you have one that doesn't stand we'll this is perfect! No trailer damage, and cannot tangle horse. Safety. Bad thing is if you are staying where there's a lot of Rock in ground or below ground may not be able to drive stake in
