Comments about Dura-Tech Weighted Romel Training Rein 36 oz. Tan:

Have been transitioning my Morgan from English Pleasure to neck reining. I have never ridden with rommels before. Shadow showed an immediate and soft response to the weighted neck reins. Shadow has been very accepting of the weight and shows no displeasure from it. My trainer liked the effect so much she is ordering a pair also. We will really know in the next few months whether really works.

Comments about Weighted Romel Training Rein 36 oz. Tan:

Good quality for the price, great drape. Unfortunately with my mare being 14.3, these are far too long to use for the class I wanted them for, Ranch Horse Pleasure, and they will just hang in my tack room. I doubt there is any way they can be shortened and had I not tried to use them on my mare a couple of times, I would return them. I did return the lighter colored set, I do wish they would have worked for me and for people with bigger, longer necked horses they would work very well.

From a short distance you can't tell they aren't rawhide. Very comfortable to the hand and they have a great "feel".

Comments about Dura-Tech Weighted Romel Training Rein 36 oz. Tan:

These reins are GREAT when you want to introduce your horse to the weight of show romels and the best part is you can keep your $$$$ show romels for shows only! These romels would do just fine in an open ring competition as well, we have a friend who used them for open competition and won all her classes.
