Keeps my horse going in his gait

Comments about Robart Pinchless Robart™ Pinchless Spinner Ball Port Snaffle:

This bit is what I found to work wonderfully on my tennessee walker gelding who hated bites when I got him. He has started actually keep his running walk now, doesn't fight me or the bit anymore and listens better than with just a normal curb bit. I highly recommend this bit to anyone wanted a horse lighter in the bridle, but with those long shanks, you also have to have light hands and not be hard on their mouth.

Comments about Robart Pinchless Robart™ Pinchless Spinner Ball Port Snaffle:

I LOVE this bit! It does wonders for my quarter horse that gets nervous in the bridle and grinds his teeth! I really like that it is very effective both for schooling and showing, too. I've been borrowing my trainer's and am so happy that I won't have to share anymore =]

        • Q:

What is the length of the shank on this bit? I noticed a review mentioned "long shank". I like this bit, but I'm replacing a bit with a long shank. Thanks!

        What bits are made of...

        Stainless Steel

Bits are most commonly made of stainless steel. Stainless steel can be cleaned and polished repeatedly without damaging the finish. It is strong, durable, and flavorless and does not impact salivation. Some stainless steel mouths are inlaid with copper.

        Copper

Copper encourages salivation to increase the sensitivity of the horse’s mouth. It warms up quicker than stainless steel in cold weather.

        Sweet Iron

Sweet iron is cold-rolled steel. The material appears rusty after repeated use. This oxidation tastes sweet to the horse and increases salivation.

        Rubber

Rubber softens the action of the bit as it is softer than traditional metals. Rubber-covered bits are generally thicker than metal.

        Aluminum

Aluminum is lightweight and easy to maintain.

        Plastic

Plastic bits are softer than traditional metal bits and they are durable. Many plastic bits are scented or flavored.

        Nickel Silver

Nickel silver is a nickel alloy, also known as German silver. It encourages salivation for a more sensitive and supple mouth.
