    My horse shredded his turnout sheet so I got this one with the belly band. I LOVE IT! It is true to size if not a little roomier which works since I got a liner to put under it for cold days. A friend calls it a straight jacket for horses; he's the one that saw my horse in the field with the shredded blanket wrapped around the hind legs. My horse seems comfortable in it and it doesn't shift on him like the belly strap blankets.

    Best blanket I have ever bought. Fits my giant, hard-to-fit mare perfectly. The belly band and waterproof warmth have extended her winter turn out hours, improving both her health and attitude. Highly recommended. The neck piece tends to bunch up a bit (this is a separate item) but the blanket itself is perfection.

    okay; wanted bellyband

    Replaced an older blanket I sent to Schneiders for trade in. Like the old one, this blanket's neck is too large, and you have to use Velcro and buckle straps at tightest adjustment. I will have to use a shoulder guard as well like I did with the older one. Waiting to hear if old blanket was accepted.

    I had a question regarding exchange since I put on the blanket and was not aware that due to the conformation might caused the spinning on the belly blanket. I used the blanket and the return policy said it had to be returned in new condition which is not going to be the case. Please advise me on how I am suppose to get and exchange when my blanket is now in used condition. CUSTOMER CARE A: HI Grace! The horse's conformation may influence the spinning.     Hi I just purchase this blanket in January and I put it on my horse since he lives outside. The next morning, the blanket has slid to the side hindend section. I have the front buckles and also the belly band the tightest it would allow. How can I keep my blanket from shifting to the side when he lays down or rolling I did not have this problem with my weatherbeeta but it was a surcingle and not a belly band.

    How do you recommend washing turnout blankets

    Hi Mary Ann! Our turnout blankets are machine washable and we recommend washing with Schneiders Blanket Wash to retain the waterproofing capabilities of the blanket. Washing in regular laundry detergent with void the warranties on these blankets. Blankets should be hung to dry.

    Hi, there - I've purchased turnout sheets from Schneider's before, only to be disappointed with the cheap hardware (buckles and snaps). They've both rusted and broken, making the blanket unsafe to use. Are you still using cheap plated hardware on your turnout blankets? If so, would you please consider providing an OPTION for customers to pay a little more for quality stainless steel hardware? It's ridiculous to offer waterproof blankets when the hardware clearly isn't!

    We haven't heard of any issues of breakage or rust on any of our ArmorFlex series of blankets and sheets. This issue was a very minor problem with a particular style a couple years back and that problem has been resolved as we continually look to improve our overall quality of our horsewear

    I'm trying to get a good idea on sizing for this line of blankets. My horse measures as a 74"; however, in the Rhino Wug blanket the 75 was too large and the 72 fit well, his fly sheet is a Turtleneck brand and the 74 fits. Do you have any advice/comparison with the Rhino to assess which size would be the better try?

    Each brand of blanket is sized differently, and some are sized in 3" increments. Our line of blankets and sheets should run true to size. We measure from the center of the chest to about mid-tail. Our blankets are in 2" increments and if a horse should measure 75", you should purchase a 76 blanket/sheet.     • For best fit, stand horse squarely.
    • Measure from center of chest to edge of tail.
    • Take care to measure along the widest part of the shoulder and hindquarters.
    • The blanket measurement result is the blanket size.
    • If your measurement is in between sizes, round up to the next blanket size. Example: 73" = Size 74.
