The ARMORFlex® Challenger II Turnout Blanket is available in five fits: VTEK® Wither Relief, V-Free® Wither Relief, Attached Neck V-Free® Wither Relief, Attached Neck VTEK® Wither Relief, and Cutback Wither.
Our VTEK ® Wither Relief fit is designed to prevent rubbing and relieve pressure on moderate to high withers. The upright shoulder and shape over the withers are designed to fit breeds with similar conformations as Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Appendix horses, or those with upright shoulder conformation. It includes an extended drop to cover a deeper heart girth, and they are shaped with darts at the hips to give a more contoured fit around the rump. Extends 6 to 8 inches onto the mane with fleece placed where the mane meets the sheet, further preventing rubbing.
Our Attached Neck VTEK® Wither Relief fit is the same as our VTEK® Wither Relief fit but comes integrated with an attached neck cover. It's designed to prevent rubbing and relieve pressure on moderate to high-withered horses, allowing full protection from ears to tail. The neck cover is attached with a 15oz lycra that stretches as the horse puts their head down to graze. This stretchy panel prevents the rest of the sheet from slipping forward and maintains coverage no matter the conditions
Our V-Free® Wither Relief fit is designed to prevent rubbing and relieve pressure on low to moderate-withered horses. With the larger neck opening and sloped neckline that covers the shoulders, this fit is designed specifically for breeds with confirmations similar to Arabians, Quarter Horses, Stock breed horses, or those with sloped shoulder conformation. The drop on these blankets is longer, allowing a slight wrap around the barrel. Darts at the hip form a contoured fit around the rump. It begins where the mane ends, leaving it uncovered with fleece placed where the mane meets the sheet, further preventing rubbing.
Our Attached Neck V-Free® Wither Relief fit is the same as our V-Free® Wither Relief fit but comes integrated with an attached neck cover. The neck cover is attached with a 15oz lycra that stretches as the horse puts their head down to graze. This stretchy panel prevents the rest of the sheet from slipping forward and maintains coverage no matter the conditions.
Our Cutback Wither fit cuts away at the withers to provide a rub-free fit for horses with high-head carriage and a lower wither. The larger neck opening and sloped net line cut back for the withers make this the perfect design for breeds with confirmations similar to Arabians, Morgans, Friesians, Saddlebreds, and Tennessee Walkers. The cutback wither is also a favorite when caring for long-mane horses, so manes are not damaged.

The open front option features double front snaps with a new wider hook and loop closures that assist in keeping the open front from separating for a more secure fit. It allows for easy adjustment for the perfect amount of "snugness" at the front of the chest to alleviate gaps. Plus, the snaps make it easy to put on and remove.
The closed front option has a "deep v" front that allows your horse to put their head down without pulling the blanket forward. The solid, closed front is hardware-free, offers additional wind and weather protection, and eliminates rubbing.

The criss-cross surcingle closure option adjusts to keep the blanket from sliding from side to side. The t-post hardware features locking bands and detachable elastic leg straps for increased security.
The bellyband closure option adds additional protection from harsh weather. Hardware is positioned to avoid rubbing or poking while your horse is lying down, and the t-post hardware on the bellyband closure includes locking bands and incorporates elastic inserts for more give as the horse moves since the proper fit is with the bellyband snug and flush to the belly.

How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.
