poor design

A design flaw allows horse feed to accumulate around the bottom drain plug which none of my horses are able to lick clean, not even my petite Arabian who can get every last piece of grain...except with this feed tub. Would not buy again. Unsanitary.

Great Feeder!

Love this feeder! My guy slings his grain, and although not all of it stays in, the majority of it does, or ends up on the 'shelf' that surrounds the bowl. I have much lest waste! It is LARGE so measure your space first. Love that it can hold so much. Definitely recommend this one!

The only feeders I will use

I have had these feeders for years. They are extremely durable, and I have used them in both corners and on straight walls with equal success. In fact, the only reason I had to buy new ones is I moved and did not feel like taking down my 10 year old feeders to bring with me. One of my favorite things about the feeder is the deep well really makes it tough for horses to sling their feed out onto the floor. These feeders are well worth the extra cost.

Excellent design

Best thing ever! Using this to feed a slow eating senior who only eats wet food, I wondered about its potential for food to get stuck in freezing weather in the grooves. It did not! LOVE this feeder. The plug at bottom allows easy cleaning, no more lugging buckets around! I am replacing all feeders with this in my barn now.

Good feeder

Bought these as we finished building our barn. I wanted something that could be cleaned. The screw drain in the bottom makes cleaning easier. I also like the ribs that help contain the grain. They're much larger than I expected. Horses seem to like them.

What is the capacity of this feeder? For example, how many gallons or quarts of liquid can be poured into it? (I am looking for a feeder that can hold at least 8 gallons of pre-soaked pellets)

Desperately seeking a feeder!

I never fill it, but my guess would be 5 gal Best, Laura "No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle." - Winston Churchill

First, let me say, I have bought three of these and the quality is excellent! I do think it will hold 8 gallons of soaked pellets. I don't soak my pellets, but I use 6 scoops from a 1 pound coffee can, and that fills it up a little more than half way. I don't know how much they swell when you soak them, but if it was a little full could you press them down for more room maybe. I hope that helps! Sent from my iPad Cathy Watson

This High Country Plastics Wall/Corner Feeder can hold up to 6 gallons.

Customer Service

No it isn't that big. It would probably hold about 2-3 gallons max.

Can this be used to hold water?

No this can not hold water for long periods of time.
