Overview

Designed with the Senior Horse in mind

Made of a durable 1200D waterproof breathable outer shell. This turnout blanket was made to fit the ever changing needs of your Senior Horse. The sunken in shoulders, weaker top line and protruding hip bones are all hard to fit areas that most blankets no longer accommodate until now. 5X more waterproof than competitive brands. Navy blue with gray piping.

Extended Wither Fit for Sway Back Issues

We took our already great fitting Patented VTEK® Wither Relief and extended it 4" forward and 2" backwards increasing the coverage both over the shoulder where Senior horses lose muscle and over the wither which over team becomes more prominent due to the back muscles weakening causing sway back problems. Increasing the protection where your senior horse needs it most.

Memory Foam Padding

Memory Foam has been added to the wither, shoulder line and hip panels where you Senior horses often losses mass and the bone structure becomes more prominent. The memory foam acts as an additional layer of protection from rubs and sores as your older horse may lay down more.

"I have not had it very long so I cannot attest to the quality, but it fits my horse much better than a normal vtek bc of the slightly higher neck, I think the memory foam makes the blanket a little warmer than your average medium and they re terrible to try to fold bc of the memory foam but overall I like it so far! My horse def loves laying down and sleeping and I don t have to worry about him getting sore"

"I have a 16. 2 retired WB mare turned out 24/7. Usually blankets pull hard across her chest but the ArmorFlex Challenger II for Senior horses fits better than any other brand Iâve tried on her. I donât have to pull it forward to relieve the pressure. The material is tough and waterproof, and is slick against her fur so she doesnât fight with it to move. Iâve been really happy with it and plan to get her a heavyweight too. Two minor negatives are that the padding on the rump allows the blanket to get slightly off center since she still has a round rump, but it is only slight. And the second is I wish the blanket hung down longer to provide more coverage under her belly. Overall I am really happy with this blanket and have suggested it to my friends with senior horses."
