Schneiders was founded in 1948 and for over 70 years, our team has satisfied millions of customers worldwide by providing the largest and most up-to-date selection of quality products. Specifically designed for the needs of the English, Western, and Arabian exhibitor, and the expanding trail riding market, we offer equestrian riding supplies, horse blankets and sheets, Western tack, English tack, English saddlery, horse care and equestrian apparel.

Our mission is to provide horse owners and riders with everything they need to train, show, and enjoy their horses. We stock and ship thousands of horse and rider supplies every year, and have developed more than 200 original products, designed around the needs of our customers.

Merchant in Training

This six-month training program will include assignments in customer service (phone, chat and email), our brick-and-mortar retail store, and distribution center. Also learn on the job working with a full marketing, creative and merchandising team in house. During the six-month training period, we are offering the opportunity to utilize your passion for, and knowledge of, the equestrian industry in a bona fide business application; experiences that will be transferable wherever your career path lies. We are also offering a flexible schedule, the ability to learn from some of the most knowledgeable and respected equestrian supply experts in the US, and the opportunity to interact extensively with our enthusiastic customers, both in person and over the phone.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree (or actively pursuing), preferably in business, marketing, management, or the equestrian field
  • Several years of experience or personal knowledge as an equestrian (a "horse person")
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills; both over the phone and in person
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills, and proven presentation skills

Store Sales Associate
Responsibilities
  • Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with our merchandise and providing outstanding customer service
  • Operating our cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers
  • Achieving established goals
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the store
  • Increasing store sales
  • Superior product knowledge
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers
  • Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts
Qualifications
  • An Associate's degree or high school diploma
  • Retail sales experience
  • A professional appearance
  • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Weekend availability
