Robart™ Pinchless Spring Loaded Correction D Ring Bit
This great bit design eliminates the problem of pinched cheeks and tongues. The internal bushing system allows each side of the bit to rotate independently and isolate one side of your horse without putting pressure on the other side of the mouth. This works great if your horse needs flexing or lifting exercises on one side more than the other.

This bit made a big difference in lowering my horses head

This bit is a solid piece so my horse does not play with it and it helps to keep him centered on his job. Helps to keep his head lower in the show ring.

Pleased with bit

Horses response is excellent but not for inexperienced rider or rough hands.

Quality and performance

A friend let me try one she had on my mare. It helped keep her attention on her job and adjusted quickly to it with no fussing.

Nice bit

Using this bit to retrain a a horse from Saddleseat to Hunter Pleasure. Working great.

I would buy again, but...

I need this bit in a 5 1/2" width. This is a nice bit and my horse works well with it, however it is narrow in his mouth. So I am back on the hunt.

I would buy one for every horse

This bit is phenomenal! I use it on my 8yr old hunter under saddle horse. It makes a world of difference! He is much for responsive and consistent.

this bit is awesome, comfortable in my horses mouth and she accepts it well.

Love this bit!

Horses really like this bit. I train Quarter Horses and keep having to order more. I now have four horses in the barn that show HUS and English Eq. in this bit. I love the look and feel of it. The spring loaded sides let you work each side separately. I use the bit with a chain, which doesn't come with it, so you will need to order that separately.

Like the bit for showing

Good bit, it works well for our show gelding for HUS classes. However he is on the smaller side and the bit is a little thick for him however still works.

Robart™ Pinchless Spring Loaded Correction D Ring Bit

4.8 21

So my new bit arrived. I attached the headstall to the "hooks" provided. The "hooks" face the inside, correct? It seems like they would press on the horse's cheeks??? I turned them to the outside to avoid that type of contact with my horses face. She worked fine in it, but it looks weird backwards. Will someone attach a picture of what this thing is suppose to look like, please? Thanks in advance.

YES, attach headstall to the thick part of the bit, through the rings facing in. I attached the curb chain there as well.

The loops on the bit go towards the horses face. The top loop is where you attach the bridle bit ends. The go from the out side of the bit through the loop on the bit. The crub chain also hooks on the inside of the loop on the bit. The reins hook to the bottom loop. If you have any more questions please contact customer service at 800-365-1311.

I purchased the hooks and chains recommended and can not figure out how to intall this on my bit without pinching my mare? QH requires a curb chain with this bit

The hooks attach to the metal squares that come out. Curb hooks are clamped on and the chain should be attached to the right side hook and then the hook clampled at the chain end so it does not come off. The chain should be set on the right side to an appropriate length for the horse. You have to twist the chain so it lays flat under the chin before you hook it the left side. Here is a good utube video i watched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCSGWRSeewM

What curb chain and hooks work best with this bit to show and make it legal on the arabian circuit.

The curb chain item #015056 and curb hooks #01054. I don't know if these are legal for the Arabian circuit you would need to check in your rule book.

What bits are made of...

If you have any questions about this product or a type of bit, please contact us at 1-800-365-1311 or service@sstack.com
Stainless Steel

Bits are most commonly made of stainless steel. Stainless steel can be cleaned and polished repeatedly without damaging the finish. It is strong, durable, and flavorless and does not impact salivation. Some stainless steel mouths are inlaid with copper.

Copper encourages salivation to increase the sensitivity of the horse’s mouth. It warms up quicker than stainless steel in cold weather.

Sweet Iron

Sweet iron is cold-rolled steel. The material appears rusty after repeated use. This oxidation tastes sweet to the horse and increases salivation.

Rubber softens the action of the bit as it is softer than traditional metals. Rubber-covered bits are generally thicker than metal.

Aluminum is lightweight and easy to maintain.

Plastic bits are softer than traditional metal bits and they are durable. Many plastic bits are scented or flavored.

Nickel Silver

Nickel silver is a nickel alloy, also known as German silver. It encourages salivation for a more sensitive and supple mouth.
