I am ready to buy another pair.

5

Great for protecting legs during cavaletti and lateral work. Very easy to put on and take off. Love the color! Be sure to measure. I thought my ponies were a medium and they were actually a large to be more comfortable.

Love these boots. Unfortunately the size seems a bit smaller than before. The tabs also seem a bit short.

I bought a pair of these 11 years ago and have used them on every ride. They're only now starting to show signs of wear but are still perfectly usable. The Velcro even still sticks after all this time!

Would a small size fit a half-Arab yearling colt? He wears a 63" fly sheet.

Debbie

They might be a bit large on a yearling. There is a good amount of adjustment to the boots, but yearlings might be a little too fine boned for the small.

Cheri

I don't see a image of the purple ones. Is it possible to get a picture of the color?

Elicia

I emailed an image of the boots in purple directly to you since I couldn't copy/paste the image in this format.

Would small fit a 12.2hh pony? a welsh type.

Cindy

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. We're using the boots on a 16 hand Arabian.

caevans29

I'd probably go with a medium size Sent from my iPhone

elazyy

It should. I have a pony about the same size and he wears a size medium in these boots Sent from iPhone

aarapian

I ordered small for my 15.2 Half Arabian Mare. I think these may be a little too long for a 12.2 pony

lissalyons

Based on the horse height chart, I think these boots may be too tall for a 12.2 pony.

Anonymous

I use these on a 15.3 hand Quarterhorse, who is a small framed horse. They fit him perfectly. Not sure about a pony, though, whose cannon bone circumference is likely smaller. Cheers! Carolynn Brill 🏇💌📗☕️🐕🐱🐾

can you use this for a western show? example, barrel racing, pole bending?

Maddie

I guess it would depend on the rules. I don't show in the listed disciplines, I just use them for riding to protect my horses legs when doing trail obstacles. I love them though.

_bdollar

I think you would be fine. I use mine every day and have no problem. Sent from my iPhone

senglish1

pretty sure in contesting yes......however im not sure about equiptment rules in other western shows.....i cant see a reason not to use ..but i do not know for sure Sent from my iPad

tellemar

I use these more for riding around the house. You could use them for barrel Racine they just don't have as much support as others do. Sent from my iPhone

mdgyrl99

Yes, you could use them. I would check with your equipment rule book just make sure they are approved to use.

Customer Service

I am wanting to buy this product for two horses. Horse #1 measures 8 1/4" around the middle of the cannon bone and 10 1/4" around the fetlock. Horse #2 measures 8 3/4" around the middle of the cannon bone and 11 1/4" around the fetlock. What sizes do you recommend?

Breanne

Please look at the size chart that is next to the review tabs. This will help pick the size out.

Customer Service

Would the large size fit a drafty horse? I have a gypsy vanner/friesian mare.

Shannon

There is a size chart in the tabs next to the review and Q & A. I would suggest measuring for the correct size.

Customer Service

Are these good for jumping?

Jumper

These can be used for jumping as they do offer protection to the splint bone area. However, there is not much support so if that is desired we would recommend Dura-Tech® Extra Support Neoprene Boots or item #14206.

Customer Service

My horse is about 15.2 hands but his legs are very fine. Would small or medium be better?

Laura

I would recommend a medium based off the size chart. if you feel that would not work you can go with a size small.

Schneider's Customer Service

Can these boots be used on the front and back legs?

Cbela

These boots can be used on the front and hind legs.
