Chestnut wrong color

Would love the convenience, but chestnut color is pretty orange

It's ok

I have to apply many times to get it to the color you want.

This are great for touch ups!

These colors are great for touch ups when taking photos and it is too cold to bath your horse.

Great hoof spray!!

This not only works great on hooves but also on black hair as well. Does need a hoof shine coat added

Great product easy to use

Supper easy to use and gives a nice finished look. Love this stuff for my horses legs at the shows.

Great product

A must have in every groom cart. Covers blemishes, marks, and is a great alternative to hoof black.

Great product for the value

This product works just as good as Pepi.

Shapley's™ Touch Up Spray

Would it be possible to use Shapley on black faux suede chaps? My black chaps are a little faded.

No, I wouldn't recommend that. It will come off on everything, your hands, saddle, etc. depending on the material of your chaps, you may be able to have them professionally dyed. Sent from my iPhone

Yes, I think it's possible. I used it on an older black cowboy hat to make it blacker. Sent from my Verizon 4G LTE smartphone

I wouldn't use Shapley's on chaps because it does rub off when you brush it (as you would want it to when it is used on your horses skin). Instead, suede chaps can easies be dyed with RIT dye.

We do not recommend using this product on any clothes.

Customer Service

This product is for a horse's hair coat, not clothing, and the color is temporary, so it can be washed off the horse with shampoo. I would say that IF you are not concerned about possible damage of the fabric and are only interested in temporarily making the color look darker black (i.e. the chaps are old and you don't care about the longevity of them), then you could try it. But I would expect that 1) the material of the chaps may change if you spray them with this product and 2) the color will possibly transfer to you saddle leather, so make sure it is completely dry once sprayed and finally 3) it could cause damage to the chaps so only use on a pair that is old and you don't care about long term effects (i.e., just as an emergency measure for a class).

I wouldn't.  It tends to rub off. There is a leather spray that shoe stores carry and i use that for my black chaps! Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

After I use the touch up spray, what can I use over the spray to add more shine?

We recommend using Ultra Final Touch Spray to add an instant shine!

Customer Service

Which color would be good for gray coat? Have one small white area that needs to be gray.

Old Gray Mare

Ultra grooming chalk item #31181 would be an option for blending black and white to result in the desired gray color. Shapley's spray would require a very light coat of black with a top coat of white that will also blend into a gray color, it may just be a bit tougher to control. Variation of the color will depend on your horse's coat color and we suggest gauging the difference on a test area.
