Good value. Don't care for the zipper, but so far no issues with two horses that are wearing it. The mesh eye cover is a little loosely goosed but no issues with rubbing eyes. $5.99 great price since even the more pricer masks don't last long.

Best fly mask I have every tried!

I put fly masks on horse and pony everyday as long as we have flies. Both love this mask and willingly put their heads down for me to out it on each morning. It is light weight and easy to was. I rinse them out each night and they are ready for wear the next morning. Just started using them this summer, so not sure how long they will last, but I bet they will be competitive with other masks in that dept. The mesh is extremely light weight, but bomber tough. The zipper is also very good quality. Lycra is nice and stretchy so it fits snug with no gaps.

I would not buy this product again, they don't stay on.

I was hoping the stretch material would help keep them on, even using a medium on my small horse he was able to get it off. The zipper was hard to start, maybe having an adjustable throat latch would help keep it on.

Highly recommend

Fabric stretches to contour the shape of the head so its a snug but comfortable fit, keeping the bugs out plus prevents the mask from falling off. Also gives the horse good visibility.

LOVE this fly mask.

A fantastic fly mask, it's the only one I have used for 11 years now. The light weight mesh is easy on the horses eyes if it's touching them and also keeps even the tiniest of bugs out. It helps to keep dust out too to a certain extent. The stretchy fabric keeps it in place, doesn't chafe, and the bigs don't seem to like to bite through it. It can be used under or over halters/bridles so is perfect for pasture and riding. If the fabric stretches or tears, it is very easy to add a quick stitch and keep on using it. I recommend this to everyone I can.

Not A Bad Fly Mask

4

I've been using this fly mask for a few years now on my mini and on my horse. They won't hold up forever but that's to be expected. I like them because they don't rub up against my horses eyes. But if the zipper gets wet and then dries, it can be hard to zipper. It may not be the strongest fly mask out there, but it is still my preferred fly mask for my guys.

I them, and have bought several

I've bot several of these. I rotate these fly mask with other styles to help with skin irritation. Living in Florida, it is very humid and the horse can build up a lot of sweat under different masks. What I particularly like about these is that I can see my guys eyes. I can tell a lot about how they are feeling by looking at them. I feel very detached with the other masks, because I can not see their faces. So, I love being able rotate these masks in and out. I toss them in the wash and they clean very easily. I do have one gelding that doesn't like this one and takes it off, but the other 5 are fine with it.

What size would my mare wear if she wears a 90" blanket? I fail to see how the measurement of a blanket can define what size you need for the head. Her bridle is 45" across the pole for her bit.

Diane

If your horse is average size the MEDIUM should fit well. Keep in mind that this fly mask does stretch, but it is possible to buy a size that's too big. If this happens, the throat will sag and the bugs will get in.

tina.caldara

This fly mask would not fit your horse. We suggest looking at item #19111 this fly mask comes in draft size.

Customer Service

Interested in this mask for both my girls. I have POAs, my 4 yr old wears cob size for halters etc, then I have a yearling who can fit into a weanling horse size halter. What sizes would I get for both of them?

Danielle

The cob would be medium The weanling would be small.

Customer Service

How does the sizing work on this mask? My tb wears a cob sized bridle, would he be a small or a medium?

Lauren

Sizes are determined by blanket measurements, Small (60-66), Medium (68-74), Large (76-80 ) or X-large (82-86).
