I would by this product again.

The coat is great but I got a 60 and the belly straps are to big and I have to sew them shorter or he will get caught up in them!!

I got this product in fall and within a couple weeks of use the color was extremely faded and the waterproofing was gone. This was used on a yearling that is only turned out about 1 hour a day and the blanket still did not hold up.

Great Alternative Blanket for Weanlings/Yearlings

5

I used this pony blanket to fit my large weanling half Arabian filly for cold Michigan winter days. It fills that gap between foal and horse blankets.

Chocolate and Blankey Combo on a Cold Days!

5

I am so grateful they arrived! 2018- 2019 Northern Alberta -45 temps were brutal. The mini ponies and min Horse "Chocolate Thunder Storm" aka "Chocolate" is now well protected, comfortable and will be much more healthier because of this style of blanket! The neck warmer is very important additive and he looks so smart dressed!

Good solid turnout

Pony has a thick coat but needed something for the wind and rain. Has held up well to 24/7 turnout and mud. Was a little large, but works fine.

I have a medium Welsh pony that normally wears a 66 in blankets. What size would be compatible?

Jen

This blanket unfortunately ends at size 64, which would be too short for your pony. We have the Stormshield Contour Collar Turnouts and the Dura-Tech Viking Turnouts that do start at a size 66.

Ashley

I forgot to mention the size. I will need either the 52 or 55. I realized I measured her wrong and will redo it again tomorrow. I went to the back of her thigh instead of up by her tail.

Karin

The drop length of the size 52 is about 27" and the size 55 is about 28".

Cheri

I have a mini/shetland cross pony and I was wondering how long the drop is so I can measure her before ordering this blanket. She has pretty short legs and I don't want to have to send it back because it's too long. Thank you :-)

Karin

The drop on the size 52 blanket is 27" and the drop on the 55" blanket is 28".

Cheri

Why is this not showing out of stock until you go to order it. What a waste of time having to get this far only to find out it is not available. Since you feel it appropriate to waste customers time like that I will take my business elsewhere.

Tanya

After you select the size, the next drop down box will let you know if the color and the size is available. As we are getting closer to spring, our inventory is limited in many sizes, colors and insulation weights.

What are the dimensions of the pony size 61 blanket (laying open flat - length and drop)?

Sharon

Length is going to be a 61 ½" and the drop is 31"

Customer Service

I have a pony that measured 53", so would it be better to order the 52" or 55" version?

Jimbo

For a 53" order a 54". They run exact, if not a tad small.

grinnygoose

I needed a 75' and bought the 77' it fit fine. I feel like they run a little small. I would buy bigger.

christina.b.strobel

I would order the smaller one, the one I ordered seemed a little big for my pony.

gili.laurene.c

If it is a narrow pony the 52" would be okay. But if it has any body to it go with the bigger one. That's what I did for my 42" pony and it fits her great. Sent from my iPad

pwest2u

My horse measured 55 and I ordered the 58. Its a perfect fit. Sent from my Verizon 4G LTE smartphone

fivehargers

If this is a short-legged pony, neither one will fit because the side drop is way too long. My pony is a perfect 54, but the side drop came down below her hocks and knees. The belly straps weren't even close to her belly. I have to return it.

skarr1

We would suggest going with a 52".

Customer Service

Although this shows for a Pony will it work for a 6 months old quarterhorse. Just wondering if the contours will be basically the same for QH colt as for a pony

Lynne

We would recommended the turnout foal blankets as they would give you more adjust ability as the grew. Item 16000 is one of the sizes.
