    Comments about Dura-Tech® Cooling Wrap 16" X20":

I use these boots every time I ride - although decided I only need the pair for the back legs. My older gelding has a cyst in a bone in his back right fetlock, and often the area becomes hot after a workout. The bone cyst is an indentation in the bone that makes the joint somewhat unstable. The ice boots always work to cool it down. He accepts them on his legs with no fuss, walks with them to get grass on a lead line. Easy on and off. Sit in the freezer at the farm and stay cold.

I purchased these for my 17 hand Hanoverian and they fit him nicely. They stay cold/frozen for longer than I need them to, and are easy to put on.

Cold wraps are most effective when used intermittently, 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off. I wouldn't recommend them for overnight turnout.

The only thing I can say is that these boots have very good straps that have strong Velcro. The cooling last about a half hour then I put the boots back in the freezer for the next day. Hope this helps.

You probably could but after the gel melts, it will be looser and could
fall off. The recommended time of usefullness is anywhere from 30 minutes
to an hour based on the fact that if freeze them so that they stay cooler
longer it could be too extreme if left on for extended periods of time.

                    A:

You would have to hold the wrap on to the stifle the whole time. I would suggest just cold hosing the stifle.

Yes, the gel wrap can be used to ice stifles.
