I'm amazed at how durable this blanket is! My 2 stud colts play rough and no tears!

Good solid turnout

Pony has a thick coat but needed something for the wind and rain. Has held up well to 24/7 turnout and mud. Was a little large, but works fine.

Enjoying her blanket.

My horse was shown for a few years and doesn't grow a coat in the winter that is very thick. (She is arabian) added to that she is often kept out if the run-in areas I have by the other horses. I only put it on her when it is very cold and there is precipitation.

Fits my mini donkey perfect!

Ordered a 52" for my plump mini donkey. She didn't fit into a 50" mini blanket. The standard 52" pony size fits great! It fits around her neck and gives enough coverage down the sides of her.

FIts on my pony great

Love this blanket, fits great, stays in place - would buy again.

Buy again? I cant fault the blanket for a naughty weanling!

I don't think I can fairly rate this product - I bought it for my foal (born May 2017). I purposely bought it a little big, so I didn't have to buy two blankets this winter. My filly ripped a big hole in the side after only two days of wear, which may or may not be an indicator of the durability of the blanket, but indicate a naughty baby who plays hard! I would buy this blanket again.

Would like it better with belly band

Nice blanket needs more adjustable around neck

You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

Super product, well made, designed to take the abuse my horses and dogs can deliver. I have purchased multiple Dura-tech products for storage, horses, & dogs. It can be stated with confidence they are made to last. Very satisfied with Schneiders products and service. In my experience, they stand behind everything they sell.

Excellent purchase.

I purchased this blanket in a size 61 for a weanling. The cold weather arrived early and his winter coat wasn't fully developed. I intentionally purchased It to be large on him so it will last the entire winter. The blanket is easily modified so that it fits. It stays in place perfectly and has held up to his baby antics.

Perfect pony turnout

This is a great waterproof turnout! This blanket has a nice, generous fit, good coverage and has been proven to be very waterproof and durable. I purchased this blanket with medium fill, as well as the no-insulation sheet and the matching hood for cold windy rainstorms. I have been very pleased with the quality. This is the 3rd winter using the blanket and it is still in great shape.

I have a medium Welsh pony that normally wears a 66 in blankets. What size would be compatible?

This blanket unfortunately ends at size 64, which would be too short for your pony. We have the Stormshield Contour Collar Turnouts and the Dura-Tech Viking Turnouts that do start at a size 66.

I forgot to mention the size. I will need either the 52 or 55. I realized I measured her wrong and will redo it again tomorrow. I went to the back of her thigh instead of up by her tail.

The drop length of the size 52 is about 27" and the size 55 is about 28".

I have a mini/shetland cross pony and I was wondering how long the drop is so I can measure her before ordering this blanket. She has pretty short legs and I don't want to have to send it back because it's too long. Thank you :-)

The drop on the size 52 blanket is 27" and the drop on the 55" blanket is 28".

Why is this not showing out of stock until you go to order it. What a waste of time having to get this far only to find out it is not available. Since you feel it appropriate to waste customers time like that I will take my business elsewhere.

After you select the size, the next drop down box will let you know if the color and the size is available. As we are getting closer to spring, our inventory is limited in many sizes, colors and insulation weights.

What are the dimensions of the pony size 61 blanket (laying open flat - length and drop)?

Length is going to be a 61 ½" and the drop is 31"

Customer Service

I have a pony that measured 53", so would it be better to order the 52" or 55" version?

For a 53" order a 54". They run exact, if not a tad small.

I needed a 75' and bought the 77' it fit fine. I feel like they run a little small. I would buy bigger.

I would order the smaller one, the one I ordered seemed a little big for my pony.

If it is a narrow pony the 52" would be okay. But if it has any body to it go with the bigger one. That's what I did for my 42" pony and it fits her great. Sent from my iPad

My horse measured 55 and I ordered the 58. Its a perfect fit. Sent from my Verizon 4G LTE smartphone

If this is a short-legged pony, neither one will fit because the side drop is way too long. My pony is a perfect 54, but the side drop came down below her hocks and knees. The belly straps weren't even close to her belly. I have to return it.

We would suggest going with a 52".

Customer Service

Although this shows for a Pony will it work for a 6 months old quarterhorse. Just wondering if the contours will be basically the same for QH colt as for a pony

We would recommended the turnout foal blankets as they would give you more adjust ability as the grew. Item 16000 is one of the sizes.
