Pressure-Ice® Active Compression Cold Therapy System with Leg Wraps

    Item # 25376
Pressure-Ice® Therapy reduces pain and swelling by providing deep penetrating cold and active compression. The cooling effect minimizes inflammation and acts as a mild analgesic. The cold active compression stimulates blood flow to the area, carrying oxygen to feed and heal damaged tissue. It also moves excessive fluid buildup from the area via the lymphatic system.

The unit is completely portable, compact and self-contained with no power cords to get in the way. Simply fit the surcingle to your horse and apply the wraps to your horse’s legs. The pump attaches to the surcingle and each pressure port can be programmed separately. Treatments are programmed to last 20 minutes. Easy to use with either frozen gel packs or ice/water packs. Quick release valves are incorporated on all leg wrap hoses.

We recommend starting treatments without pressure or at the lowest setting until your horse is accustomed to this type of therapy.

System includes: Pressure pump, charger, surcingle, leg wraps (2), gel packs (4), ice/water sleeves (2), ice/water poly bags (4), waterproof ice storage container, and carry bag (10 x 12 x 22 in.) with padded shoulder strap.

Spare components available: Leg Wrap (#25421), Leg Wrap Gel Pack (#25422), Hose (#25419), Pump and Charger (#25420), Ice/Water Sleeves (#25423), Ice/Water Poly Bags (#25424).

Comments about Pressure Ice Pressure-Ice® Active Compression Cold Therapy System with Leg Wraps:

I purchased this at the Congress. We used it before our pole runs and Kirby ran great. He placed in every class and go, average and finals of the pole sweeps. I am super excited to get the newly released hock boots. My horses are older and I work hard to keep them running hard. This machine will travel with us from now on! A good value for the money.

I have been using Pressure Ice for almost a year now. It has replaced my previous Ice therapy machine. The ease of use, low maintenance and reasonable price point have made this one of my favorite products.

Comments about Pressure Ice Pressure-Ice® Active Compression Cold Therapy System with Leg Wraps:

Pressure Ice is the easiest ice system. The unit is light and easy to apply and the whole leg is evenly cool when you remove it. I just used it for a tendon swelling on my older horse and the the results were so quick. Normally I use it after training for each of my two horses. Simple no hassle preventive maintenance without sticker shock- that's Pressure Ice

The kit comes with 2 Icing options.
              1. The Gel Packs that go in the freezer, overnight or for 4 hours before re-using. Kit has 4 gels for leg wraps. (2 in use 2 in freezer) They last approx. 45 mins depending on ambient temperature and leg heat.
              2. Ice and water packs. If you are at an event with no freezer available. Put ice and water in the clear bags provided (see fill levels marked) slide sealed bags into sleeves provided and Velcro to the main wrap in place of the gel packs. Apply wraps as usual and press the start button on the pump to activate 'squeeze and release action' Ice will only last one treatment and probably need replenishing between treatment.
              3. There is a 'simple to read' start up guide included that explains the above steps plus everything you need to know about using your unit.

Two bags for ice water are included, but I use 2 of the 4 frozen gel packs that are included.  They velcro onto sleeves that are wrapped around the horse's legs.  When you turn the pump on, it acts like a blood pressure sleeve, which continues to pump up the pressure and then release it.  You set the pressure strength, and the pump is on an auto timer for 20 minutes.  The ice water bags would be used the same.
