Beautiful craftsmanship and sturdy. Thank you Schneider Saddlery for being my one stop for quality products at a reasonable price!

Something different with copper

I am transitioning from reining to mounted shooting. My reining show tack is too "showy", but I'm not quite ready to go all out colored and crystal tack common in gaming and speed events. The copper accents are unique and authentically western enough for mounted shooting.

Quality rivals much higher priced tack

I was looking for a headstall to use in mounted shooting competitions. Not as wild as barrel racing/gaming tack, but not as formal as rail class tack. This is the perfect happy medium.

This Product Is Amazing

This is a very attractive Headstall That could be used to show and isn't stiff to adjust

Nice design but quality is "sloppy"

I like this breastcollar because the design is what I was looking for as far as tugs, width, tie down holder, style, etc but I am quite disappointed with the quality. Of course, I expected this breastcollar to be machine tooled, but it was really done sloppy on the left side. There's actually "tufts" of leather where the tooling machine did not cut cleanly and feathered it instead. The leather of the breastcollar itself seems okay (but does have an strange odor) so we will see how it holds up to use.

Bought this as a present for my daughter

Beautiful Bridle

Such a beautiful Bridle. The quality is great. Fits on horses head comfortably. Makes my mare more beautiful. She responds quickly to the heavy reins, I also bought.

How long does the bridle measure bit end to bit end on the shortest possible holes? I have an Arabian with a very small head.

This bridle will measure about 34" at the shortest from bit end to bit end.

Does the conchos on the headstall have turquoise on them? It's hard to tell from the pictures.

No, there is no turquoise on the conchos.

I purchased the bridle and it is beautiful. I love it. do you have a specific reins that go well with it?

There are no reins that are specific to his headstall. Any of our Billy Royal light oil reins should match this headstall nicely.

This bridle says it's a light oil, but it looks pretty dark. Is it really that dark? Does it come in s dark oil?

The headstall is more on the medium oil side and is not offered in the dark oil.

I would say more regular oil in color than a true light oil.  Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

How long is the throat latch? My Appendix has a very large head - looking for a pretty bridle that fits properly. Thanks!

The throatlatch is 2 inches wide.

Community Answer

The overall length of the throatlatch at it's longest is 44". The measurement was taken starting at the top of the crown, all the way around the fastened throatlatch, to the original starting point of the crown.

What does this bridle measure bit to bit at it's longest? I have a friesian/Clydesdale cross and it's so hard to find a nice western bridle to fit her. Thanks!

Bridle measures 43" all the way out on the crown and cheek end to cheek end.
