Quest Gel

Overview

Quest Gel
Quest® Gel is effective in the treatment and control of the following stages of gastrointestinal parasites in horses and ponies: Large strongyles, small strongyles, encysted cyathostomes, ascarids, pinworms, hairworms, large-mouth stomach worms, and stomach bots.
  • Suppresses strongyle egg production for 84 days
  • Residual strongyle control reduces pasture contamination and re-infestation
  • Effectively controls ascarids, pinworms, large and small strongyles, bots, encysted cyathostomes and large mouth stomach worms
  • For horses 6 months of age and older
  • 4 oz. Sure-Dial syringe treats up to 1150 lbs.
  • Not for use with dogs
  • Recommended Deworming Program: May/June and November/December
  • Dosage: Since the dose is based on the weight of the animal, you need to use a scale or weight tape to find each animals weight before treating with Quest Gel. Once the weight is known, set the dose for each horse or pony as followed. Hold the syringe with the capped end pointing to the left and so that you can see the weight measurements and tick marks (small black lines). Each tick mark relates to 50 lbs of body weight. Turn the green dial ring until the left side of the ring lines up with weight of the animal
  • Directions for use: Determine the weight of the horse and dial the correct setting on the plunger. Remove the cap from the syringe. Insert the tip of the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth between the incisor and molar teeth and press the plunger down as far as it will go, depositing the paste on the back of the tongue
  • Extreme caution should be used when administering the product to foals, young and miniature horses, as over dosage may result in serious adverse reactions. Do not use in sick, debilitated , or under weight animals
  • Storage/How Supplied: Supplied in a 11.3 gram syringe
  • Store at or below 77 degrees F or 25 degrees C. Avoid freezing. If frozen, thaw completely before use. Store partially-used syringe with the cap tightly secured
  • Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism.
  • This item ships within the U.S. only

Quest Gel

"Easy to give"

REBEKAH B. (5/5)

Quest Gel Wormer

"Love the Quest wormer. One of the big reasons I use Quest is that it is non toxic to dogs that get a hold of the horse poop that is excreted after dosing this wormer. Also kills big spectrum of worms. Price was right too!"

I would buy again

"My horses are low shedding and this product was recommended by my vet"

Loretta (5/5)

I would buy this again.

"Lift the horses head and put your thumb in the corner of the horse's mouth. The horse will open its mouth then you can squeeze the paste on the back of its tongue. When using this product make sure that you are away from feed and water because the horse will try and wipe the dewormer away. Keep their head up until they swallow. I don't know if it is the taste or texture that they don't like. This product works great but I try and rotate it with Zimecterin Dewormer to kill all types of worms. I had a friend who told me that Quest Gel made his horse sick but i have not experienced this on any of my horses over the years. Make sure that you use the correct dosage. Good luck."
