Measure the circumference of your head by placing the measuring tape roughly one inch above the eyebrow. Different helmet manufacturers have different sizing, so consult the size chart for the particular helmet that you are purchasing. Also consider how you will wear your hair in your helmet. If you are planning on wearing your hair up inside the helmet, allow room for this when choosing a size. When you receive the helmet, place it on your head without fastening the harness. "Not a fan of the adjustable strap. It constantly slips up under the helmet and causes the helmet to slide in unsafe positions. The only solution we have found is by placing the hair in a low pony tail and setting it between the helmet and strap. That does not work so well with short hair. My children are young enough where they struggle with the straps and cannot adjust the helmet on their own. Will be finding a different helmet that stays put and requires less adjustments and fiddling with once on."
