- Sweet iron appears rusty after repeated use - this oxidation tastes sweet and increases salivation
- Allows each side of the bit to be worked separately when schooling
- Swept back medium port applies just the right amount of palate pressure
- Tongue pressure can become harsh at the flexible joints
