Our Contour Collar turnout blankets have a seam-sealed shaped collar that fits snugger around the neck to provide greater protection in wet, windy weather. Designed to drape comfortably on low and medium-withered horses and adapts well to most conformations with a generous drop for good coverage. Fleece at the wither.
Our Attached Neck Euro turnout blankets fit straight from the withers through the back for a comfortable fit for ALL breeds. The attached neck prevents the blanket from slipping forward, maintaining coverage no matter the conditions. With the Attached Neck Euro Fit, your horse will be protected from ears to tail.
Our High Neck Euro turnout blankets fit straight from the withers through the back for a comfortable fit for ALL breeds. With this fit, your horse will have their shoulders and withers fully covered with additional coverage halfway up the neck. No matter the breed, your horse will be comfortable in the High Neck Euro fit.

Our Classic II and Blizzard II series of StormShield® blankets are made from a 1200D ripstop polyester that offers a tough durability rating for the moderately playful horse that runs, jumps, or roughhouses with their pasture mates. We back both of these styles by a 1-year warranty.
The StormShield® Extreme II series is made from a more durable 1680D polyester that offers extreme durability for the active horse! This blanket is sturdy, offers good movement range, and stands up to your horse that regularly engages in vigorous play. Backed by a 2-year warranty.
The StormShield® Nordlund II is made from our toughest, 1680D Ballistic Nylon fabric, offering extreme durability. If your horse likes to be rough and run in the pasture, you'll find that this style will remain intact for their active lifestyle. We back this style up with a 7-year warranty!
All the above blanket styles are designed with a special Schneiders logo, nylon lining that's breathable and keeps your horse's coat soft, smooth, and shiny throughout the season.
The criss-cross surcingle closure option self-adjusts to keep the blanket from sliding from side to side. Comes with locking bands and detachable elastic leg straps for increased security.
The bellyband closure option adds additional protection from harsh weather. The hardware comes with locking bands and is positioned to avoid rubbing or poking while your horse is lying down. The rear surcingle includes a stretch panel for more give as the horse moves since the proper fit is with the bellyband snug and flush to the belly.
How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.
