How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"My oldest quarter horses are in their 30s and these blankets provide a comfort and fit I that exceeds the other fabulous Schneider blankets my other horses wear. They love the fit and extra warmth provided by the shaped padding, and you can layer with an under blanket to layer up even the coldest weather. They were warm and comfy even in -15 weather with a windchill (under liner added). I will be coming back for more!"

"Very pleased with the quality of the turnout sheet. The fabric is sturdy and durable. . The turnout is very well-made, down to the fastening hardware. The adjustment feature allows you to make it almost custom, The Wither Relief profile fits my horse beautifully since she has VERY prominent withers. The blanket fits her perfectly."

"My horse has Shivers. When it gets cold it starts to happen move often. I can't put him in a stall because standing still will lock him up even worse. He needs to keep moving. This blanket/sheet is perfect. It provides some warmth without getting him to warm. Provides protection against the rain. The fit is perfect, since I studied what they had on Schneiders, how to choose the correct blanket instructions. I am very happy with this purchase!"
Excellent fit and adjustment options for my old man
"I have a 30 yr old quarter horse that has lost his beefy figure. His winter coat isn't quite as fluffy and doesn't repel as well as in his youth. I live in VT where it's wet but not cold enough for insulation about 4 months of the year and I go through rain sheets often. I saw the senior version of a rainsheet at Equine Affair and grabbed one. We love it. For one, the neck is higher AND has pads on the withers and hips to prevent rubbing on his bony parts. Second, you can also adjust the fit with built in velcro straps."
