Not my favorite, but does the job.
"I bought this for our yearling who is turned out 24/7. She has only needed it twice, but it doesn’t seem to be as durable as the other Schneider’s pony neck cover I have. The main difference seems to be the exterior material. It still kept her warm and mostly dry (it must have slipped up closer to her ears while grazing so her withers were exposed) during the ice storm we just had."
Kept her dry but not super warm
"Stays in place, keeps her dry, durable. I attached this hood to a non matching blanket because the hood that matched my blanket was too big. My mares hair growth is much thicker on her neck (after months of wearing it straight) than her body so I know it's not keeping her that warm. Also when I stick my hand under it at night to test the warmth, I barely notice a difference. We live in a climate with mild snow and temps 15-35 degrees in the winter months. But the hood keeps her dry and snow off of her neck so I'm happy about that! My pony is 41 this year so her body temperature regulation is not good. I just wish they came in more colors and more warmth options. Also I should add she lives in pasture with a large open barn with herd mates she can freely go in and out of."

Runs big but my pony likes it
"My pony seemed a bit cold outside even with his medium weight blanket. The temps aren't really bad enough for a heavier blanket so I thought I'd get him a hood. It runs a little large but fits well enough. The top Velcro strap was a little hard to close. My pony is definitely feeling better in this. He is full of pony sass that I've never seen from him before. So I guess he approves."

"Didn't fit the blankets it was supposed to fit with. There was a gap between the neck of the blanket and the neck cover. Wish it was offered in a Sheet rather than a midweight fill. Never used because they didn't fit."
Like the smaller size
"Like the smaller size. Wish it came in more colors. Could use more/longer velcro to close it up more/tighter on thin necked yearlings. Would buy again."
