Intended for horses with a high head carriage, Cutback Turnout sheets provide a rub-free fit. They are designed to fit Arabians, Morgans, Friesians, Saddlebreds, Tennessee Walkers, or any horse with Upright Head Carriage. The design of our Cutback sheets leaves the mane completely uncovered since the sheet is cut back behind the withers. Darts at the hip form a contoured fit around the rump.

With no insulation, this waterproof turnout sheet is designed to keep your horse dry and protected from the wind and rain on wet days. Keeping your horse dry prevents chills from unpredicted drops in temperature, and provides protection from the moist conditions that cause skin infections like rain rot. Use our turnout sheets in any temperature to keep your horse dry, or if your horse is body-clipped or has a very short, thin coat, choose our turnout sheets for temperatures between 50 - 60 degrees F.

How to Measure a Horse for a Blanket
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.

"This blanket provides a good fit and sits correctly on my horses withers and doesn't rub. I like that it's lightweight and has a nylon lining to keep him shiny. The fit is great, it holds up and is great in the elements. I gave it 4/5 stars because I'd love to see Schneiders develop a front buckle system with a single point in the middle similar to the horseware style closure instead of 2 straight across buckles and snaps. I'd also love to have reflective strips on it somewhere."

"My 3 yr old pony cross can undo buckles! AUGH! This is the ONLY front closed turnout sheet that I can find. So far, 2 months, it has stood up well to his shenanigans. I bought a second for back up. It fits him well and is keeping him dry and bonus- clean. I like the shoulder/neck adjustment. Thanks Schneiders! PS- would appreciate more colors but I hopefully won't need another for a couple of more years."

"The fit of this blanket is great on my high withered saddlebred. The only thing I would change is a thicker rubber on the clips of the bellyband. They slide too easy in and out. Other wise, love everything else."
