A great fix for a temporary problem!
"We use this on a horse that tore his lower eye lid. The fit wasn't great but we manage to fix it to wear it works now. We did put a fly mask under it so the flies would not attack the wound. Price was good!"
They do work, but be choosy about when to use them.
"I put this on a recently adopted Standardbred gelding, who is the spookiest horse I've ever had. Probably because I usually have Quarter Horses! Well, one off-the-track TB was pretty spooky. Some of these race horses haven't seen things like deer, turkeys, grass rippling in the wind. . . . things normally raised horses see and get used to. For lunging, I should have gotten the smaller blinkers that go on the side of the bridle. He can't see me when I'm lunging him. I haven't tried these blinkers under saddle yet. But it is a quality product, and I look forward to seeing how they work on a trail ride."

Too small for big WB
"This is technically not a negative nor positive review. It was just too small, BUT not surprisingly. I purchased it for a 17. 2h WB jumper. He's a big guy. This item is generally one-size-fits-all. But I was kinda expecting it to be too small. Returning it. Had to find a blinker hood available in Large. I don't have any experience specifically in blinker hoods, but this one appeared to be of good quality for the price. Cannot comment on durability, for obvious reasons."

"Nice hood that works comfortably for my hard to fit Arab X TWH. Only complaint is a cosmetic flaw - front piece curls up a bit despite the straps fitted tight."

"I haven t used the product yet but I am using it for goat tying. My horse likes to go hard right when I get off and it can be very dangerous. Recently I have just used a fly mask with some duct tape on it to make sure it would fix the problem and it did so I figure the purchase of this product would be a little better for style and more long lasting. The only thing is that it doesn t fit my horse perfectly because the fabric isn t stretchy but it ll definitely work"

The hood is a game changer for our one-eyed horse.
"This blinker hood has been a game changer for our appaloosa that has developed glaucoma in one eye. We can avoid using fly masks at night to allow him to see better in the pasture. It protects him from scratching or bumping his blind eye, but doesn t hinder his vision in the good eye as with fly masks. It s stretchy and easily adjustable. It stays in place while he enjoys cruising the pasture with his buddies."
