"I have a monoflap dressage saddle for trail rides and was nervous that the pommel bag’s straps would not reach the billets. I do have point billets on the front and am happy to say the lower anchor straps reached. The pommel bag was secure and everything easily accessible. One side held a 1L water bottle, the other my rain jacket. I still wear a thigh holster for odds and ends. If you do not have a point billets, the stick straps will not reach , but for my set up all is well."

I use it for local trail riding & horse camping, and even leave it in my saddle in the arena so my tissues & chapstick are handy!
