Schneiders® Ripstop Nylon Mesh II Fly Sheets

With this fly sheet, you’ll have the added confidence that your horse will be more comfortable during the summer. It’s constructed from a 300D textured, shiny, reflective nylon mesh that allows for the greatest amount of airflow. The absence of side seams reduces the likelihood of rips or tears in those areas, and the contour back seam provides a better fit and increased comfort for the horse. It includes reflective stripes for safety and SilverTek® technology with antibacterial nylon lining on the chest, shoulders, and tail. It protects your horse from small to medium-sized insects, such as gnats and flies, while providing 40% UV protection.

Fly Sheet 101 Guide

This fly sheet is available in two Euro fit options.

Our Euro fly sheets fit straight from the withers through the back that’s designed to drape comfortably and adapts to most breeds and conformations. The sheet comes up 4–6 inches onto the mane, fully covering the shoulders and withers. The Euro fly sheets also have extra comfortable fleece at the withers to prevent rubbing.

Our Attached Neck Euro fly sheets fit straight from the withers through the back for a comfortable fit for ALL breeds with the innovative SilverTek® antibacterial nylon lining. The attached neck connects to the sheet with a stretchy lycra that allows your horse to put their head down to graze comfortably. It also prevents the sheet from slipping forward, maintaining coverage no matter the conditions. With the Attached Neck Euro Fit, your horse will be protected from ears to tail.

Fly Material and Fit Guide

The open front design features double front buckles with new and improved wider hook and loop closures, allowing you to easily adjust the fly sheet for the perfect amount of “snugness” at the front of the chest. Plus, the buckles make it easy to put on and remove.

Choose between a surcingle or bellyband closure for comfort and protection, with chrome-plated hardware that resists fly sprays and detergents corrosion.

The criss-cross surcingle closure option adjusts to keep the fly sheet from sliding side to side. Comes with locking bands and detachable elastic leg straps for increased security.

The bellyband closure option protects from flies and midges biting along the sensitive underbelly. Hardware is positioned to avoid rubbing or poking while your horse is lying down, and the t-post hardware on the bellyband closure includes locking bands and incorporates elastic inserts for more give as the horse moves since the proper fit is with the bellyband snug and flush to the belly.
