Slow Feed Hay Ball a Success!

"My 7 year old quarter horse gelding Dash loves his hay and eats too fast, so it is easy for Dash to get bored in his stall. I purchased the Slow Feed Hay Ball as both an activity for Dash and to slow down his consumption of hay during the day (he has night turnout). Dash likes to play with toys. The Slow Feed Hay Ball is working perfectly for Dash! He manages to completely empty the ball and eats every piece of hay. I find the ball in different areas of his stall. Dash likes to pick up items. I have not seen him pick up the ball yet. He also likes to paw at things. Fortunately, Dash has not seemed interested in stomping on the ball. The ball is holding up well, and the horse is happy - success for Dash and the care givers, and a smart purchase by me!"

If your horse is dumb. . . just no

"I have one for my horse. She loves it and stops her from eating straw bedding. Why 2 stars? Well it WAS NOT on my bingo card at 630 am to CUT A HORSES HOOF OUT OF THIS BALL. Sometime between night check and AM feed the horse broke the lid and put his hoof INTO THE BALL. I was able to get another staff member to hold the horse and the affected leg while I went to get tools to cut it off. VeRY thick plastic. I luckily have a lot of tools on hand. . . and very strong hands. Took 45 minutes to cut this off the horses leg. Luckily the horse was chill and let me do what I needed to do We have 17 balls to fill everyday. Many of our horses use them. It is the first time this has happened. Photo was after I cut it open to release the leg"

Slow Feed Hay Ball

"It took my horse a couple days to figure it out and get into the idea of his meal coming from it. I think he was frustrated the first couple days. But now he has the hang of it everything is good. It adds a little bit of meal time compared to the hay net. The ball itself is easy to fill, durable. We live on a slope so it lands in the same place everyday, but i imagine on flat ground the path could be more variable. So far it adda some exercise both mental and physical to his routine."

I recently invested in two

"I recently invested in two slow feeders for my horses, which have been a game-changer for their mental and physical well-being. Each ball can hold approximately two flakes of hay, keeping my horses engaged and stimulated in their pens for a couple of hours. The durable design of these balls ensures they withstand regular use, providing a fun and challenging way to dispense hay."
