UltraFlex® Slickers

Our Slickers are designed to keep your horse clean of dirt, dust and shavings, to keep manes, braids and bands lying flat, and to protect the horse’s hair coat from rubbing or chafing underneath their Blankets. We use the highest quality fabrics, available in multiple weights designed to match the level of protection needed for weather and temperature conditions. Our Slickers are designed with unique features like forelock savers, extra-large eye-holes, high quality fleece lining at key rub-points, or entirely faceless, to ensure your horse remains comfortable and protected.

Choose a shoulder-guard to protect the shoulders from blanket rubs, a sheet to protect the shoulder, withers and haunches, a hood to protect shoulder areas as well as to keep manes flat & clean, or a our full-body sheet for nose to tail protection.

Our Slickers are made from the highest quality fabrics, with UV protection greater than 95%, available in multiple weights designed to match temperature conditions and type of protection required. With 4 way stretch, our fabrics fit like a glove!

Our stretchy, breathable Mesh Slickers are designed for use in the Summer months when you need a breathable lightweight fabric to keep coats clean without additional weight. Available in two weights, choose 4.5 oz mesh lightweight breathable Slickers for indoor use when temperatures soar and 6.5 oz mesh breathable Slickers when you require more durability for horses who are turned-out.

Our durable Lycra Slickers are designed for use year-round and are our most effective fabric used as an under-layer to prevent blanket-rubs. Available in two weights, choose 8 oz Lycra for every-day use and to keep playful horses clean in the warm months, or choose 15 oz Lycra when the weather turns cooler and as our most durable under-layer to protect coats from blanket rubs. And for ultimate warmth during the winter months, choose our 8 oz Slicker fully lined with soft polar fleece.

Key points on our Slickers are lined with soft polar fleece to virtually eliminate rubbing or discomfort. Our Slickers use No-Snag hook & loop closures which will not catch on the Lycra Fabric or get tangled in the wash, and our YKK zippers are high quality and reinforced.

Our slickers that come in two facial designs. One covers the face and has options for a forelock saver that allows you to prevent rubs to forelock braids or no forelock saver for fuller coverage. Slickers with a face also offer a rub free design and oversized eyes for added safety. Faceless slickers can be used as a light summer neck and shoulder cover to keep braids and bands neat before a show, helps lay the mane down and best of all, the no face design stays in place! There are no ears to rub, no eyes to rub, and no seams to rub!

Whether you need a pull on, full zipper, or 3/4 zip slicker there's an option for you in the UltraFlex® line. Our pull on option has no zippers and slides on over your horses head. The full and 3/4 zipper options have a heavy YKK zipper. The chest of the 3/4 slicker is sewn closed reducing the possibility that these zippers can break.

All of our slickers have no-snag hook and loop closures. Slicker hoods and shoulder guards have a surcingle while our sheets and full body slickers come in a bellyband style with back leg straps.

Split tail cover design protects the tail from rubs. Mares cannot urinate on it and higher tail sets can still move their tails freely
