Billy Royal® Extra Heavy Oiled Hermann Oak Leather Split Reins

Overview

Billy Royal® Extra Heavy Oiled Hermann Oak Leather Split Reins
Dense and tight-fibered, these high-quality split reins feel great in the hand, have a perfect drape, and are weighted at the tail end to minimize swing and to keep them from interfering with your horse's front legs. They’re crafted from hand-selected tanned hides thicker than more widely used hides, making them incredibly supple from your first ride on. The smaller water tie bit ends reduce 'flipping' on the bit ring and improve direct contact with your horse. Beautiful, soft, and durable, these split reins are sold as a pair.

"Great Quality! Clients love the feel of the rein leather!"

ANDREA I. (5/5)

Great reins

"They are just the right weight. Not too heavy, and not too light. They don’t slip through my hands and are easy to hold. Love them!"

Michaela (5/5)

Not really weighted

"Disappointed in these reins. I have some Weaver reins that came from TSC that are actually heavier and better quality. I'll keep this set for trail rides rather than schooling and showing."

Michelle (3/5)

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone

"Great quality use on my 7 yr old mare"

"Haven't used them yet but they feel nice."

I doubt I'll need to buy these very often.

"I've had 3 sets of a variety of fancy new reins break in the past two months. The last set was on an unruly mule who was nervous in a parade lineup. It seemed easier to find decent reins at the usual lineup of feed stores in years past but these days, the choices were all of the cheap foreign-made sort that I keep breaking. So I decided to hunt online. I am hard on equipment generallyâ ”riding, packing, and driving teamsâ ¦and much of it in the back country where things get wet and muddy. It has been a long while since I have had a set of this quality. I got these and a double-thick set of this good leather. They are just the over-engineered, heritage quality stuff that we used to take for granted. Thank you for making a product that isn't useless and disposable. These will get me down the trail sure enough."

These reins are beautiful. . . soft, shiny and durable.

"My niece is going to start riding barrels and needed some new reins. . . . Happy Birthday, Marissa!!"
